Always a feast for my eyes to see your talent is working, especially when the kit itself needs more than tender, love and care. Pretty good job on this Jak-17 🙂
Thank you very much for your comment. Yes, it is a short-run kit, it was only released in 1998 by Special Hobby. I was lucky enough to acquire it on a forgotten shelf in a model shop. I think that today only A-model sells this kit, I suppose it can be found on the second-hand market. Regards!
Excellent build wow, so cool! I built the Amodel Yak-17 earlier this year so I can feel your pain! I love how you rebuilt all the little "nozzles/vents" on the bottom of the engine nacelle among many other significant improvements like with the canopies and some scratch building too. Again excellent build and I hope to be able to make improvements on kits like these down the road. I've never done a lot in the way of scratch building in my last 22 years of modeling. If you have an email address available I could send you some pics of mine if you want. (Soviet markings and overall light gray) I plan to do the Amodel Yak-15 and eventually the S.H. Yak-23 down the road. Again take a bow for this achievement as I know it was no easy build. 👏💯💢💫 LOVE IT!! 👍👍
Thank you very much, comments like yours encourage me to continue this work of sharing my models, I am not an expert and there are very good modelers on UA-cam, something positive without a doubt. I would be delighted to receive your photographs, I have enabled the email on the channel, by clicking on the channel logo and then on information there is a window that says "show email" Now everyone can contact me if they wish. I have several A-model kits waiting to be built, I am really looking forward to the Yak-28P that I have here, it will be one of my next models. Thank you very much for commenting and for your support.
Well, you have a better Yak-23 at Special Hobby, I have some KP kits waiting to be modeled, let's see what I can get out of them. Thanks for commenting. Regards.

Excellent work put into your Yak-17, it looks great! The Amodel kits are not known for being a shake and bake build..
