      and that's why people get stuck, what works for you wont work for someone else
      to many in experienced people believe there is only one way and stick to the plan
      even if its not working, there are to many factors, not all tyres or vehicles are the same
      more time in the seat trying different techniques for your setup is what will get you through

    The clown in the first one was in two wheel drive, she was switching it back and forth, not even knowing she was changing from 4wd to 2wd. Yeeeesh. Also it seems some don't know how to snatch, when you feel the strap get taught, let off the gas and let the inertia of your vehicle pop him up, then get back on the gas. Else you just dig yourself in and now impede the dude you snatched.

      @Darndiddlyarn 4 роки тому +2

      @@axios76 not at all, at usher point I dropped to 6psi to get back up one of the sand climbs and once at the top pumped back up to 18psi, if you're on soft sand and you drive appropriately for the conditions and tyre pressure you'll have no problems, and don't be scared to get out and adjust them frequently, it's not exactly difficult in this day and age of battery powered compressors that shut themselves off when they get to the pressure you've selected.

    • @axios76
      @axios76 4 роки тому

      @@Darndiddlyarn yes, I understand that. Been to Fraser twice and drove with 16 and 18, taking advise from the locals and never got stuck. I was just afraid 10 would kick the tire out of the rim if you have to turn the wheel sharply to get off of a track for example.

    • @Darndiddlyarn
      @Darndiddlyarn 4 роки тому

      @@axios76 being gentle on the turns and not going on sideways angles it's fine, tyre size and rim width play a part but any tyre and rim that are within the recommended sizes for each other are fine. The weight of your rig obviously plays a part too because I would drop to 2 psi on my suzuki at times to get the tyre bulge I wanted because it was so light. I've dropped a bead off a couple times but only while driving inappropriately for the conditions, like doing doughnuts on soft tyres.

    Brother why this country people like deisal car

    • @tpv59
      @tpv59 4 роки тому

      It is a choice we have, petrol or diesel.
      Basically it is personal choice.
      Diesel vehicles cost more to purchase.
      There ARE pro's and con's to each engine.
      Kind regards.

    Every car that got bogged... LANDCRUISER!!! hahahaha.
    And who the feck was driving that second car (white 80 series). What an absolute space cadet!!
    Btw, if you actually count that Amarok.... a car that doesn't even have low-range, you need to take a look at yourself.

    Ground clearance helps quite abit, specially on that very soft sand

    • @BahnGop
      @BahnGop 2 роки тому

      Helps if you want to get under your car and dig, the lowest point is still your differential, and bigger tyres is what gives more clearance for the diff. And what I use to dig around the diff is a garden hoe with a short handle, it’s way better than a shovel

      in dry sand like that i run 10psi
      the blokes in the two cruisers towing the boat struggled for 2hrs on about 18psi
      we advised them to go to 10psi and thats when they got out.

      inskip action Ok so I’m just retired and getting into this. So 10-15psi and low range should do the trick?

    • @BOGGEDACTION
      @BOGGEDACTION  5 років тому +9

      Well this is a difficult question to answer. There are lot of factors to take into account.
      Vehicle weight ,tyre size,tyre construction,type of vehicle,are you towing?
      Time of Day ,sand is more dence in the morning. In the afternoon sand is softer.i can go on and on.in most applications 18psi will do .
      High and low range is another long question to answer ,I won't get into that right now.
      10psi and lower is some thing I don't recommend unless you know what you doing.you can run a bead, you don't want that.yes by all means go down to 10psi to get your self out of a bog but as soon as you on the harder stuff air back up.
      Hope this helps.
