What's the best Southwest Florida city for a dude in his early 30's? Looking to move down there. I work from home, and would like to get out of the Michigan winters. Used to live in Jupiter, FL a few years ago for seven months when I was working a contract.
The restaurants are great. There’s not an actual mall or outlet in Cape Coral. You’d have to go Fort Myers, Estero, or even Naples to have access to those things. I would say to check out Cape Harbour in Cape Coral. You can go shopping and dining.
Very informative video. I am looking to move to SW Florida from Kansas early in 2021 after I complete my personal training certification. Hoping to make a scouting trip there after the holiday season.
I would love to talk to you about the utilities extension project as I have been looking at houses in the area and would like to know what that is how it works what additional cost it might bring when buying a home there stuff like that?
Yes let’s talk about it. I was charged for the utility fee. My street was skipped over completely because it is a private road but yet we are still being charged storm water fees and when I applied for a permit I had to pay 8000.00 utility fees. When questioned why I was told they can charge anything in advance for the utility fee. I asked when it would be installed. They have no clue.
Loved the video. I live in Ohio formerly from Fort Lauderdale. I plan to return to Florida. I am considering Cape Coral as my new home. Are you considering making a video tour of Cape Coral? Would be nice to see the downtown, shopping areas. Thank you for the information.

What would an engineer at a college campus make per hour down there Cape coral is beautiful but worried about work down there, engineer/ maintence powerplant?

Everything is correct. You didn't discuss the flooding and how close to the year 2050, 90% of Cape Coral will be prone to floods. Cape Coral is a beautiful small town but the canals does mess it up to move there. The assessments suck. In actuality, when your thinking your paying cheap to own a home but then when those assessments and flood insurance kick in(ha, no thank you)
From the time that I was very little, I've always heard people mention about Florida being under water. Decades later, it's still hear. No one really knows what the future holds. We'll see how things turn out.

Something tells me you're from up around my parts. Are you a native New Yorker?
What city in southwest Florida, in your opinion, has the best nightlife? Would it be Fort Myers, Naples, Venice, or some other city??
Daniel Reyes I’d guess that most people would probably say Fort Myers.
Great !!! What's the best part of cape coral? For living

What’s the best bar and local hangout in Cape Coral?
There are lots of people that like hanging out at Cape Harbour. You can go shopping and dining.
That’s great but where do locals go to hangout and drink?
@@CrazyDayAdventures that’s one of those spots. There are multiple spots in Cape Coral to have a drink.

I read that the canals can cause nasty smells! How much of an issue is this?
Once in a blue moon that happens but it's not the norm.
Yes, they can. Especially when the blue-green algae hits. Was making people very sick

Not enough to pay your mortgage.
How bad does it flood during normal storms?
Most of the time there's no flooding. I've been living in my current home for over 7 years and my street has never flooded.
