I have three axial 24 scale. All steering servos got the twitches. Replaced them with stock servos, and within a year they crapped out again. Now, they sit on a shelf while I drive other brand RCs that work.
Was just wondering if a SCX24 Base Camp last week was going to come out and now here we are. Pretty excited about this Tacoma access cab lookalike. Too bad it's not a licensed Toyota
This is quite a surprise! here's Axial coming out with a micro base camp! If I had to spitball a guess, it will have the C10s wheelbase(I've now watched the video 2 more times and im starting think it'll be more like the Bronco in its wheelbase), and (judging by the video) it is running on friction dampeners.
Question Are any of these cars water resistant as in the electronics systems? If not i would really like to see that implemented In todays day and age most rc cars should have waterproof electronics as standard. Especially if there being sold for kids around the holidays....
Oil-filled shocks are the standard on all the other SCX24s starting with the Dodge Power Wagon and going forward. The Base Camp is the exception. We know a lot of people will use this as a base for projects and we don't want them to pay more for a part they're highly likely to replace
this should be priced at 49.99 its still on friction shocks doesnt have portals and has a lexan body and the most basic electronics... this is pretty much toy grade compared to whats out there at this price on the market.
Agreed, the fact that these even sell at all with the release of the TRX4M is beyond me. I understand the people that hate Traxxas, but you have to admit the TRX4M is miles better.
@@neongecko3065I'm an axial person. I have both. The trx4m is miles better. Kinda wish they made it 24th scale though. Or better made both! Lol the 24th is basically indoor only 18th is perfect size for indoor and outdoor imo.
Been having fun with the SCX24 Base Camp; indoors and at the park! Nice addition to the line-up Axial!

Does this 2in1 esc have a channel 2 for an external esc?
I'm curious if the driveshafts come apart if they crash into anything like some other similar sized crawlers.
Sweeeeet!

Nice addition to the lineup, but please make oil filled shocks the standard. This will allow you to stand out from the competition.
