I detail my 22 year old shitmobile for summer by filling up the tank and adding air to the tires. That's enough, it looks exactly the same But I wish it was worthy of a wash like this, but I might lose the structural rust holding it together
I had an old shitty rusty Toyota some time in my youth and one day driving home from work the floor under the driver seat just gave up and the seat fell out on the highway... damn I was surprised.

Cleaning off all the caked salt and dirt and protecting before is seriously such a lifesaver for the car. I always do this (although you gave me some very good new tips here) and even when living in a country with the dreaded road salt the cars don't rust and look like new underneath. This guy is a prime example of someone who absolutely owns their OCD. Larry, you are truly an inspiration. I've been a long time lurker, first time poster for anything. I just wanted to say I appreciate the time and thoroughness you apply to every aspect of your job.

This is the best commercial for this car cleaning product. Me personally? I would clean the inside and clean the outside once a year (after winter). This keeps the rugged look of a Subaru alive! 😁
That is the right way to take of your car. Most cars and trucks end up in the scrapyard too soon because they are not properly taken care of. Proper car care takes time and most people think the are too busy, too lazy or just don't know how to detail.
Seen just about all your videos Larry And this is definitely my favourite after watching it about 5 times!😂 (p.s. I do have a life, it just consists of alot of car detailing) Nothing better than seeing suspension/ wheel barrel cleaning videos, never stop them coming! Many thanks for your content:)
When we left the rust belt for sunny California in 2014, both of my Year-2011 vehicles were showing the effects of road salt. I knew that if I didn't do something quick, I'd lose my vehicles to corrosion. I wasn't lazy; I always hosed off the road mud/salt from underneath as soon as I got home (froze my a** in the process!). The long 2,000-mile+ trip helped get rid of a lot of the rust. When I got to Cali, I noticed a lot of the red rust had been "sandblasted" away by road sand and granules. I quickly steel-wooled and wire brushed the rest away, primed and spray painted the metal with rust-neutralizing paint. I feel none of these products here or anywhere will revert the rusting process, NaCl will always win unless you remove it MECHANICALLY and then protect the metal with neutralizing paint. But I enjoyed this video and would be willing to give SOME of the products a shot. FF to 2018, my vehicles look great, rust-free and are worth more that what "the book" says, because of the "perceived special care" by the owner, that makes it desirable by a potential buyer.
You are probably the craziest man for cleaning car, this is definitly overkill for regular users, but I respect what are you doing. I am satisfied with waxing car 2-3 times in year and regular cleaning once in 10-15 days.
I love that I can go back to a video I watched a year or two ago and still be amazed and enjoy every second of it. I’ve always thought about putting a tire product on the inner sidewall. I find that most people’s tires go bad over time because of the cracking on sidewalls versus lack of tread so if this helps slow that process for people, I’m all game.

Picking the pebbles out of tire tread can be tempting to do, but in the end a futile process. It's going to get all full of pebbles once again after a mile of driving down the road.
I appreciate your enthusiasm. I used to be like that, well I am like that still but not as extreme anymore. Black truck still needs to get hand washed every week.
I agree that no one really sees the inner sidewalls, but my last set of tires I didn't care for the inner sidewalls and it made a huge difference. They were actually cracked and just plain nasty while the outer sidewalls were in prefect condition. Also clay bar on glass works well too. Thank you, as always, for sharing. Take care.
You're not SUPER-DUPER OG clean until you actually unbolt the front seats out of the car to be able to vacuum and clean every single possible nook and cranny everywhere on the carpets. And yes I have done this a number of times on mine and my wife's cars.
I go to my local Walmart and rent those carpet cleaners that shampoo, wash, and dry the carpets in 1 quick and easy step, I remove all the seat and pass it to make them smell and look new
Patrick94GSR No my friend it’s not clean until you take every single seat out stripped the car to the bots and clean the bots and clean and repaint the car.. replaced every fluid even the blinker light fluid
Hey Larry, if you're an iPhone user, you should look into the Airpods. I wear them all the time while detailing and working on cars and they're honestly a gamechanger. Being able to have complete freedom of motion without worrying about a cord snagging is immensely liberating. You can even put your phone a good distance away if you want to avoid getting it wet.
Regarding rust fighting, he neglected maybe the most IMPORTANT areas: the INSIDE lower portions of the doors. You first want to clear the drip holes underneath and then generously spray water in, using any openings like this guy's car has (note the black plastic cap near the top), then spray water the inside the fenders through the openings behind the hinges - lots of salt and sand find their way there and stay moist - rust !! I do this to all doors, hood, trunk, everywhere I can spot openings, drip holes... Another area are the side joints between fenders and bumper caps front and rear: you'll be amazed by the crap remaining there. Also the the suspension towers. I use my pressure washer to do all this. I may be right somewhere since I usually keep my cars for at least 15 years, and this in Québec, with it's harsh, cold, humid winters and the unavoidable heavy use of salt ! BTW, nice infocommercial for Ammo products. Other brands are as good for way less $$ !

Be honest Larry... how many hours you think you did it, i know its more because you need to move/adjust the camera for better shooting. In my case i expect 6 hours
This would take us normal car washing mortals all day and then some, but it is worth the trouble if you care enough about your vehicle. I might just do the first wave as he demonstrates on day 1, pull it inside the garage and then hit the exterior on day 2, since I know it will take me longer. I hand wash my car regularly, but I admit I'll be a bit rusty and slower than normal after having to take the winter off from the regular regimen.
The Rock he’s a badass. I usually do this twice a year as well. Totally worth it. I’ve adopted several of his techniques. The car is so much cleaner. Makes heads turn.
All of this without the camera for a detailer should take around 3 hours. But again this is a great video for after winter going into spring, not exactly a weekly detail.
I love your obsessive cleaning regimen. Keep up the top notch videos and expertly executed detailing methods. I keep an eye out for your videos and watch them first when I see one come out.
What a great husband! Wish mine would take such good care of my car like this! That has to be one hell of a workout! You do beautiful work, the car looks great!
When u clean the car sooo beautifully, don't feel like takin it out on road. Our car was in a bad shape after being impounded by cops. Service centre did polish it but cud not remove fine scratches. so i recently got a newish 2015 civic si (20k miles) my previosu cars have all been 90s pretty high miles cars where the paint was already pretty bad so i was never too obsessed with keeping them clean but since i got this black si ive been binge watching your viddeos and I cant wait to see how clean im able to keep this thing over the years
Love these video's. An OCD dream. When I lubricate the door hinges I chuck an old microfiber or a bit of tissue behind the hinge as a splashback and then wipe off the excess grease as it's not doing anything on the outside and turns black with crud after a couple of months!
I appreciate the whole process and it looks awesome. Like you said I dont have the time and its to much work for a daily driver thats gona look dirty in 2 days again anyways. I do a thorough clean, but skipping all the wax protection parts.
A drive on a rainy day will still kick up mud, dust, dirt, rocks etc etc. I don't go as hard as this guy, but simply exposing your vehicle to outside elements and simply driving it will add wear on it no matter what.
@Germanauto if detailing is what he does how does that make it stupid? It sounds more like you're trying to hide your own inadequacy and lack of motivation...
I generally do the same springtime detail. But in the fall I Fluid Flim the underside, rockers, and all the doors. It’s the only stuff to keep your vehicle intact while living in Michigan.

The Rock must have a pretty shitty battery then.
GangStarr4life96 i would say try it....🤙🏼
so i recently got a newish 2015 civic si (20k miles) my previosu cars have all been 90s pretty high miles cars where the paint was already pretty bad so i was never too obsessed with keeping them clean but since i got this black si ive been binge watching your viddeos and I cant wait to see how clean im able to keep this thing over the years
89 bucks!! To broke man, Ima just go to the automatic car wash for 3 bucks
Required materials:
1 btl each of ammo product
228 brushes
1,326 microfiber towels
Perfection
It's a bit over kill for a Subaru if u ask me. But still I'm very impressed you spent this kind of time cleaning your vehicle.
Imagine his wife crushing the car after he has done cleaning...
10 minutes after the 10 hour detail... Wife and kids spill apple juice and latte inside during a violent, sudden stop.
The only car I feel deserves that much attention is a 1965 Impala Super Sport! Very thorough, very nice job!
What about all the crap going on the floor and get spray in the nature? Is your products environmentally friendly?
It’ll just sink down into the water table and ebb away, no harm, no foul
And I thought I had an OCD. Your channel is great, bringing out the inner clean freak in all of us.
You must really love your wife a lot. My guess is that she never did open the hood or even know how to do that ;-). I talk from own experience.
I love a clean car and this channel satisfies my OCD even after all these years!
Larry, you need wireless earphones!! :)
Kenneth Wan or at least put the cord under his jacket
I was thinking the exact same thing, hate to see him catch the wire on something.
Or a bluetooth speaker. I prefer to hear the process aswell.
All this for a Subaru? This guy has a lot of patients, even if he is doing it for us. Keep it up!!!
Not AMMO NYC but AMMO OCD
Seems like overkill for an Outback.
Wow you take a lot of time in your videos. Absolutely the biggest passion I've ever seen for cleaning cars. Well done man
This is easily the most neurotic thing that I've ever watched.
Love these video's. An OCD dream. When I lubricate the door hinges I chuck an old microfiber or a bit of tissue behind the hinge as a splashback and then wipe off the excess grease as it's not doing anything on the outside and turns black with crud after a couple of months!
I just go to my local self service car wash and spent 5 dollars, instead of the 1000 different chemicals he did
Best car detailer on UA-cam!
I kinda stopped watching when you start cleaning the back side of the wheels. I barely clean even the front side...
Yeah then this channel is not for you I guess.
toompie69 thanks, but I still enjoyed watching him cleaning. Just don't have that much of time do it myself.
Ivan Reyes thanks and stick to your angry life too
I appreciate the whole process and it looks awesome. Like you said I dont have the time and its to much work for a daily driver thats gona look dirty in 2 days again anyways. I do a thorough clean, but skipping all the wax protection parts.
i do mine just like that before and after and my wheels look good
There’s nobody I’d rather buy a car from than Larry!
None of this is necessary. A drive on a rainy day will do the same thing. Way to much nonsense.
I greatly disagree but, to each their own.
Davidson Lankford Wrong!
A drive on a rainy day will still kick up mud, dust, dirt, rocks etc etc. I don't go as hard as this guy, but simply exposing your vehicle to outside elements and simply driving it will add wear on it no matter what.
@Germanauto that's not very nice. This man's professional life is detailing cars, so of course he's able to detail this vehicle like he does.
It's about that time of year again, great way to start it off !
