How do you set the trim. I have been using the torque. Is it setting- trim off on, trimmer, trimmer reset. I have the panel showing control. But not sure what command is needed to lock the trim. Also using a twist stick. I don't think that is a good idea at all too!
Nice. It's a very similar trim setting as in the Hind as I remember. How do you find the Gaz. there's still this general distrust towards the module ... Which prevented me from buying it even under the last sale ... 🎉🎉🎉
In terms of flight model it's a totaly different story compared to a year ago. It's no longer a drone on rails and very satisfying to fly. They even moddeled traverse flow effect witch most DCS helos do not. But it has to be said, that it runs a bit in the special interest department. There is little use for the scout role in DCS. But it is very cool to sneak behind enemy lines and take out that SAM with your Hot-3 missiles.
How do you enable the UI For the trim i can't fugue out how to make it show up and what settings to change trim i looked for 1+ hour today on how and i am lost
Strange. Even on hot starts? And the button itself is working and bound to the correct command. No modifier? Maybe repair DCS or try it with a fresh layout.
@@nazradu Yep!! Even on hot start, in the control command menu, the only command that gets highlighted when I press on my hat switch is the nose up command. Still very flyable, just wished the trim would work, easier to make fine adjustment. Thanks for taking the time
@@marcquintin7855 Oh you got it wrong! This thing has a hat switch trimmer that works like in airplane PLUS the regular force trim wich is another button!
Hello ! I feel comfortable with this helicopter, but sometimes I have moments, especially after exiting a sharp turn, when it begins to uncontrollably sway left and right and all attempts to calm it end in disaster. Maybe you have any thoughts about this and have you ever had such moments?
Well at least I have very rare moments where I can't catch it and its realy hard to tell without seeing it. My guess would be that ether roll angle is too high or you are pulling to many G's and making the turn too tight. Can you tell me the speed, torque percentige and if left or right hand turn?
@@KOLUCHIY25 I suspect it's most likely that you're entering a low speed under transition (under 15kts IAS) and having the fenestron stall out. It can be quite abrupt and if you have any kind of cross wind inducing weathercocking effects it could be very hard to control.
@@nazradu I sorted out the roll imbalance. In my settings I had trim with return to center, I did the flight trim and everything returned to normal. Thank you for participating.
@@nezuminezuminezumi7266 No, this is a little different and I have already found a solution by adjusting the trimmers. Thank you for your participation, your information is also important to me.
I try this, no mater how careful I am, as soon as it starts to tilt right, it goes right, even if I correct with cyclic left, or if I pull really hard left, then it just tilts right
@@Gunfreak19 I think with the FM update I did not set any. Just 100 % linear all axis. Maybe a repair of DCS to make sure everything is as it should be🙈
@nazradu I think it's just throwing me off how extremely sensitive it is vs Huey or Apache. In the gazelle you have to fly it like you're air to air refueling a F16. Tiny tiny movement.
Thanks. An easy and effective way that helped a lot.
great thanks
Awesome...
Fly the takeoff on the torque meter. That makes total sense.

With the force trim button. Twist stick might not be ideal, but a matter of practice maybe.
@@nazradu Thank you. I have learned alot from you!

@@nazradu thanks a bunch, I'll get it over the next sale then 😃
@@robadzso I'd say use the free trial program now and check wether you like it or not. Christmas is around the corner and so is the next sale ;)
It’s Blue Thunder. I like the engine whine. I can actually hover it better from the external view.
@@doifeellucky Almost. Blue Thunder was an SA341. Fun fact, McGuyver was flown with BT in the first McGuyver episode XD
Do you have a video about the auto hover hold? Before the flt model update I could get it set but now I can seem to get it to hold.
Hi, the feature is work in progress and does not work that well. As of now just trim the helicopter into a hover state.
It was updated unannounced in the last patch - still not "finished" but almost there and works well, esp in ground effect hover
@@nazradu
IRL you need two people to fly it so just wait for Petrovich-type AI or get a friend to help you
Btw I have a video about it now

Out of my head Right Ctrl + Enter
Great video, well explained. One problem I have, my trimmer does not work, what am I missing
If you do cold start I'd say the magnetic brake switch. First switch above your engine RPM gauge
@@nazradu Thanks for the reply, it did not work, I also noticed that my trim is not working except for trim nose up

I think I saw a gazelle player carrying and deploying manpad guys around in 4YA PVP server. Any idea how or even thats possible?
With a script called CTLD. You can pick up troops or logistic stuff via F10 menue under coms

What curves do recommend?

Best thing about flying the Gazelle in DCS is that if you smash it, you can reset...
