Thanks Victor! This is an excellent step by step guide. I spent an hour trying to get at the bulbs today but there just wasn't enough room on the fusebox side to get my fingers around the plug to pull it off, and although I got at the bulb on the other side I couldn't see what I was doing. I was thinking about taking the bumper off but knew there had to be a better way. Your way! I really appreciated that you took the time to make this video.
Hello friend, Thank you for your kind comments. I'm glad you found value in this video for your viewing time and got the new bulbs installed. Best of luck with your repairs :)
@@vbared all good and the bulbs are installed. In the end, on the fuse box side, I elected to also remove the battery to make room to move the fuse box away from the bulb holder, as opposed to cutting the twist tie that held it to the wire conduit. That actually made it easier to access two of the nuts securing the fusebox. Thanks again!
Hi friend, thank you for commenting and encouragement. I'm glad you found value in this video for your viewing time. Yeah, little tweaks like that make the next service a snap. Best of luck with your repairs.
Guy and his daughter removed the entire front bumper to replace the bulbs. He deleted my comment about what a time waste that was. You own the car. You make any necessary adaptations to make it easier next time. Bravo!
Hello, Thank you for commenting and encouragement. The space to remove the bulb on the driver's side is limited but as you pointed out by just removing a couple of things out of the way it can be done without the need for removing the bumper cover. Best of luck with your repairs.
Hello Froggy, Thank you for commenting and kind words. The online videos I had been watching before actually doing the work all involved removing the bumper cover, which to me sounded extreme. I'm glad you found value in this video for your viewing. Best of luck with your projects!
Ohh Victor if you're anywhere in Wisconsin or Illinois please let me know. I will drive my Yaris to you to help me with this, I would love to learn, this is my daughter's car and I just can't get it. Great video though.
Hi Lori, Thank you for commenting and encouragement. It would be super cool to meet up, I'm in Bulverde, Texas though. If you aren't able to get at them the way I did, you could remove the bumper cover and detach the headlight assemblies. It's not that difficult to do but is more time consuming. Check out my video linked below. I show how to remove it. ua-cam.com/video/BvSW76yRteY/v-deo.html
I wonder how you can fit that camera in that tiny little space behind the headlights, but anyway, great video. I got lazy and replaced mine without taking any of the 10mm nut off, managed to wiggle my hand in between the space (despite having to scratch it) It's possible but it's not any easier
Hello Kenneth, Thank you for commenting and kind words of encouragement. It's crazy how it was designed with so little space. I'm glad you were able to simplify the replacement process. Best of luck with your projects!
The bumper removal video is not fair representation. I can do mine using that method in minutes. This looks fiddly but whichever anyone wants to do find easier. One thing I’ve seen on the forum is the headlight lugs go brittle and break so the bumper trick may be flawed
Hello Newvillagefilms, Thank you for commenting. I didn't need a flexible screw driver but there isn't much space to get a medium sized hand in there to release the clips. Best of luck with your repairs!

Thanks for your step by step process. The plastic trim/cut suggestion is excellent. Wish I had checked your video out 3 years ago.

Excellent shots of the clips. There is definitely no reason to remove the front bumper.

You jumped past the part on the drivers side getting that last nut out. I have the same setup as you and can't fit the socket over the nut.
Hello friend, I used a 1/4 swivel and 1/4 Extension, if I remember correctly.
Yaris are grat little cars, but the way it is designed, the removal of the light bulbs and replacing the front struts is a major pain.
Hi Pedro, Thank you for commenting. Yes, I agree with you. Toyota should have made it easier to access the headlight bulbs.
Nice work ❤
Thank you, friend, I'm glad you found value in this video for your viewing time.

Great idea to cut the plastic :-))) #1
Hi Paul, Thank you for the kind comment. Yeah, man, some of those fuse box bolts are a real nightmare to get at.
Brilliant !

Great point, my Yaris is 15 years old and currently has 401,224 miles on it.
So one has to buy a flexible screwdriver if you want to replace the headlights bulb without partially removing the bumper. 🤔
