Numbers & Symbols in Vedic Thought: The Number 5

In this video, Dr. Mukund continues to take us on the eternal journey of contemplation on symbols and numbers. In this part he explains the symbolism behind the number 5 and the connection of the number 5 to all aspects of the Universe we call Prapancha. He starts with the 5 elements, moves on to the 5 objects of perception, the 5 layers of the mind which then result in our internal desire resulting in speech and action. These actions then create new objects of perception completing the cycle. In this cycle of the Prapancha he explains our role to give back more than we get starting with the 5 elements and doing whatever we do for the good of whatever is outside fulfilling our role in the cycle.
