Newbro here. I was kicking myself for starting Amarr thinking other factions were stronger in the frigate lineup and I chose wrong. Then I watched this video and got my first kill within an hour. I have mostly been roaming plexs looking for a fight, now in a executioner it seems like my targets are not sure what to expect. Your videos are very helpful keep up the good work Sir!
Man it doesn't matter what faction type you wanna fly, it all depends on what damage type, and armor/shield you wanna use.. my toon is a Minmatar, but flys everything..
awesome easy navigation tips for video - not to mention that you're diligently go through all aspects of what has been done: from skill (obvious) to CPU and POW nuts and bolts with verious modules (not so obvious). One of the best-made videos on a game i've seen actually. Done with people watching in mind. Most high praises to you and whoever helps you with it! That's not to say I, being old carebear, dont hate people doint the kind stuff described IN it - this has notn to do with the fact that you've done a realy great job ))
Setting it up like this means that he gets more heat out of his guns, having them separate they get less heat damage and so more time overheating for more dps :)
Hello! For the guys out there not wanting to train 5 days for the Powergrid Managment skill (which you still should), here is a workaround: fit a T2 rig of the version shown in the video and a small rig to increase the ship's powergrid output. The T2 rig isnt insanely costly or anything and helps you get into the fight faster.

It turned out I have all skills shown here with many of those actually at higher level. I have a few questions though. Looking at you first kills on this pilot I saw that you use the stay at range button. Do you ever orbit around targets? I've seen videos claiming orbiting is important (or approaching in a specific angle to mitigate some damage) but in my few 1v1 engagements everything was so fast and of course I was under stress and panic that I could hardly think of orbiting or staying at range. I am not at home but I wonder does the game saves the orbit and stay at range distance when you swap ammo or you need to manually do it every time you switch? And finally I know that MWD makes your EM footprint bigger thus making you a easier to hit so a bit confused here. Keep up the good stuff! Appreciate your time and effort!

Which of the two ships would you recommend more, or are they similarly effective? Also if you were to use either ship solo in FW space (presumably AB fit) which would you pick?
CaptainBreadOnToast The Kestrel is stronger in a 1v1 and has better chances against other ships in scram range, The Kestrel is just a better brawler. The Executioner is much faster (About 800m/s difference between maxed Kestrel and maxed Executioner) which makes it a bit better for survival in nullsec (Since it can avoid camps and re-approach gates more easily), the Executioners speed also allows it to catch out long range tackle ships like Crows, which the Kestrel may have difficulty with. In FW I would probably go with the Kestrel, since the executioners strengths are not as pronounced in FW.
Craig HuDDy You're right, but hopefully this video will help a lot with that. Eve has a really big knowledge cliff to climb but Skillpoints aren't nearly as important as people make them out to be.
eveiseasy Further to this, so long as you are capable of flying a tackler, there are a lot of new player friendly pvp corps willing to take you on and teach you more. So there's plenty of ways to learn how to play.
mike hothersall the easiest and ussualy most rewarding thing a newbro can do for a fleet or gang is fly t1 ewar frigs . The easiest is the vigil since the newbro just stays on their anchor and paints the primary. Maulus and griffon and crucifier require knowing what ships your supposed to put your ewar on since the primary typically isnt always the best choice
Just started tying out some solo pvp in fw space- was wondering if this fit could/should be used or modified for that. I saw your kestrel guide and the mwd kestrel in fw vid (kind of a fan of your vids) and thought I'd ask.
It normally takes around 15 minutes or so, usually a bit sooner, but it depends on the region. To get fights I try to be as annoying as possible, tackle ratters to get them to cry in intel, shoot mining cans, shoot stations in vulnerable systems so they get outpost attack evemails, just show up around high-traffic areas like stations and try and prove yourself to be a threat.
Providence has very active defense gangs that usually overwhelm solo players. at the moment I would probably recommend the outskirts of Catch and Querious (I based out of Badivefi for this video which is 3js from Querious) Avoid P4 and the surronding dead-end pockets in Querious as they like to camp in frigates for hours. U-H is a mining system 2js from your entrypoint, it has bubbles on the gate though so care, but you can often get a fight there if you catch a miner in an anomaly or failing that shoot the station to spam them with messages. Failing that, roam towards catch, check the pocket south of Querious, then go into the West side of Catch (Around BUZ) Thats more or less where I found all the fights for this video, aside from a short trip to delve.
I try to do this but it seems impossible.I'm just travelling trough null during hours, seeing nothing on dscan and finally, I jump into a campgate and I get instakilled. How do you manage to find people that fight you who are not 10 sitting at a gate with bubbles and instalocker ships ? I saw you basically using orbit and some auto commands to pilot in pvp, I also tried that but I got rekt in plexingwith basically the same fitting and skill as you do, if not better, so Im confuse... When I met kiting fits I burn and jam and web, but most of the time they just slingshot me and Im too much of a noob to counter it, I know I have to pay to learn but after 16 runs from jita to plex, it got kinda frustrating with only 1 kill report in my pocket... So my question is, is manual pilot the key in pvp? or am I missing something else?
idk man, started as a miner. maxed highsec mining shit, and always had orca boost. needless to say, im a multi billionaire... i went into a int/mem remapp while i mined to finish all my passive shit (power armor ect) i also maxed frigates and small energy turret specialization and specialization for pulse?, they're decked out. they use lasers tho, i went amarr... i liked the idea of having a slow but STRONG ship.. i use to do fw in a punisher with a heavy armor build lol. ifi didnt get scram'd,, i could outlast Alot of other frigs. had some fun in FW but after a week it was lame as fuck. (and we were winning too lol) now i have expensive +4 n +5 implants in and dont wana lose them Again... so i just stay docked while the skill queue goes and i pay monthly , waiting,, hoping this time is worth the money i dumped into it. (was going to go nightmare eventually, but i have my eyes on apoc or geddon but tbh, idk wtf to do) its been one major dissapointment after another... im fuckin riiich biiiiieeeech, can do w.e. yet i find myself playing a FREE2PLAY garbage mmo based offf a tv sci fi show. it SUcks, just another paytoWin.. lol. i wonder how many high end pilots there are that got all their shit done and realized it was a waste n quit =\ i dont see or hear of anything goin on under highsec... even after allowed more pvp or w.e in lowsec. I haven't done too much research on the other races, but I'm pretty sure a Falloff Rifter is possible within 20 days (I have a video, although with my main using it on the channel). It's an old video before they changed the propulsion graphics and had a clear different ui icon between disruptor and scrambler. I was only disrupted by a warp disruptor not scrammed.

Had always a problem of finding fights. Failed today also. I used condor though... never succeeded in finding someone I can kill. I can only find an empty space or a blob/camp that ends my unfortunate journey. I think im hopeless :(((( looks like i`ll never learn how to find an eatable prey...

Ilar Ran Dar blaster frigs. stay at range. railgun frigs get in close. Just look at the optimal ranges of certain guns and look at the combat log what gun he's using.

+Robsfund FW might be a bit harder, because people tend to use more generalized fits for 1v1 and usually fly upship (Faction Frigates), you could still do the same fit though with maybe the MWD subbed out for an Afterburner.

EVE is easy even in a low SP char, but you've once again proven that the most important thing is the pilot. New pilots can't perform like you, even with more SP. It all comes with experience though, so good work posting that video, I hope it will encourage people. P.S. 2) There isn't really for the Rifter, It's been awhile since I made that video and things have changed a little. 3) The Executioner has 3 mids, is much faster and does almost the same DPS as the Punisher, has better cap regeneration, less cap cost from role bonuses and less turrets, where as the Punisher has a armor resist bonus, +2 more lows for even more tank, and a ton of fitting room. In lowsec I'd probably recommend the Punisher. [Punisher, Punisher fit] 400mm Rolled Tungsten Compact Plates IFFA Compact Damage Control Extruded Compact Heat Sink Extruded Compact Heat Sink Small Ancillary Armor Repairer 1MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner Faint Epsilon Scoped Warp Scrambler Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I Small Trimark Armor Pump I Small Trimark Armor Pump I Small Trimark Armor Pump I Radio S x4 Standard S x4 Multifrequency S x4 Imperial Navy Multifrequency S x4 Something like this should work well for a young character while being quite cheap. Feel free to swap the small ancillary out for another small repairer if it's too expensive.
The Blood Raider ships come from the Blood Raider LP store, You would need to run missions for them in Delve and then use the LP to buy the Cruor blueprint. They also drop from blood raider 3/10 complexes, and some Blood Raider faction spawns have a chance to drop them. Cruor isn't very useful for PVE, it's a very strong 1v1 PVP ship though, if you want something for PVE I'd recommend the Succubus instead. I'd recommend training t2 small frigate guns first, they give you a lot more options and you want to improve your damage as much as possible so you can gank targets before their friends come to save them.
no nothing has changed, the CPU should be fine. Make sure you're using the exact same fit as the named modules are used to save CPU, check that you have the same skills as my char too eveboard.com/pilot/xKristina1997x. Make sure you have CPU Management 4, Weapon Upgrades 4.
Hey man, when I made the video the Small Ancillary Armor Repairer was much cheaper, this exe fit has unfortunately doubled in cost because of the Small Ancillary rep going from sub 1mil to 5mil. Also I wouldn't say I lost ;-)
+NUKE ZAP To kite would be to fly away from your opponent while shooting him, to try and stay outside of his guns' optimal range while staying inside yours. "Paste" is short for "Nanite Paste", the item you use to charge your ancillary armor repairer and also lets you repair damage you take from overheating your active modules.
In my experience more then 90% of pvp pilots are using approach and orbit. They even kite with "keep at range". It is easy to manually burn in to their face (little jo-jo and you are there)

I really regret naming it that, My Kestrel character SharkPrince2001 got like 2 invites to join corporations over the 2-3 months I used him playing probably a dozen or so days. xKristina1997x got 8 spam 'join our corp :)' mails flying in 0.0, I played her for one day. At least I know what to name my characters if I ever plan on AWOXing
The video is misleading, as you have to know exactly what to do. No one that is actually new is going to do this. How many new pvp players going to wait 20 days even have a chance to win a pvp encounter (without help), in a game where death brings major losses? Also, the skill system is the most limiting, hampering part of the game, designed to make money with the subscription. And as a new player, you have so little options, especially in pvp. Basically pay to win, with the added aspect of waiting real world time for skills to complete. It's like those mobile games without the ability to pay to speed up training time. They should add a way of accruing skill points in game by playing, but that goes against the financial model of the game. It's the worst part of the game and it's stuck with it now. Such a shame because it's a very interesting game.
TempZ You are missing the point. Of course people aren't sure what to do, that's the point of videos like this. They show you what skills you will need, and how to fly the ship in general. People think that EVE is "only for high skilled, veteran players", but this video shows what you can do with a completely new character, with 20 days of training (less than one PLEX or a 21 day trial). And might I add, these 20 days of training are not stopping you from PvEing while you wait for the skills to train. You get one of these ships for free in the tutorial (as an Amarr character). You will be able to sell the stuff you don't need (that you also get from the tutorial) to fly two more of these ships. Also, you can use a full T1 fit, and be only slightly worse than this fit, so its not a "major" loss. And if you don't like the skill-point mechanic, don't play the game. Don't expect a game from 2003 to suddenly change now.

20 day old NEW player would not really benefit from that video beside fit and few tips because he would have no practice and experience in PvP. He would be killed repeatedly until his ISK runs out.

Can you recommend a ship fit (preferably Amarr) for solo in low sec? Most frigates there seem to be AB fit and I'm not sure MWDs would work there.

eveiseasy in FW the beam executioner is now very strong since the small beam up.
Yeah, small beams are really strong, and in FW with lower mobility, and lower cap/fitting concerns with an Afterburner, they are incredibly powerful.
the Char may have only 20 days of skill but you have a lot more skill and know how u won't get that in 20 days nice vid tho

This fit can easily be used for FW. You could have an afterburner instead of a mwd for better range dictation inside plexes

I think finding a fight in FW is a bit more likely, I think you're way more likely to succeed in Nullsec than in FW with a young character though.

Sorry if this is late,but try low sec PvP,gatecamps aren't as common due to gate guns and your always gonna get a fight.

+eveiseasy I really like this game and I have tried some pvp, it attracts me but I have 370 ms latency and I dont feel like this will help with my manual piloting.
I saw you basically using orbit and some auto commands to pilot in pvp, I also tried that but I got rekt in plexingwith basically the same fitting and skill as you do, if not better, so Im confuse...
When I met kiting fits I burn and jam and web, but most of the time they just slingshot me and Im too much of a noob to counter it, I know I have to pay to learn but after 16 runs from jita to plex, it got kinda frustrating with only 1 kill report in my pocket...
So my question is, is manual pilot the key in pvp? or am I missing something else?
idk man, started as a miner. maxed highsec mining shit, and always had orca boost. needless to say, im a multi billionaire... i went into a int/mem remapp while i mined to finish all my passive shit (power armor ect)
i also maxed frigates and small energy turret specialization and specialization for pulse?, they're decked out. they use lasers tho, i went amarr... i liked the idea of having a slow but STRONG ship..
i use to do fw in a punisher with a heavy armor build lol. ifi didnt get scram'd,, i could outlast Alot of other frigs. had some fun in FW but after a week it was lame as fuck. (and we were winning too lol)
now i have expensive +4 n +5 implants in and dont wana lose them Again... so i just stay docked while the skill queue goes and i pay monthly , waiting,, hoping this time is worth the money i dumped into it. (was going to go nightmare eventually, but i have my eyes on apoc or geddon but tbh, idk wtf to do)
its been one major dissapointment after another... im fuckin riiich biiiiieeeech, can do w.e. yet i find myself playing a FREE2PLAY garbage mmo based offf a tv sci fi show. it SUcks, just another paytoWin.. lol.
i wonder how many high end pilots there are that got all their shit done and realized it was a waste n quit =\ i dont see or hear of anything goin on under highsec... even after allowed more pvp or w.e in lowsec. (i dont even havea reason to travel to null... i heard theres action there but i dont need shit anymore, im rich n bored)
on a better note, try listening to this video minimized.....just so u can only hear the audio... it'll put u to sleep within minutes

Hey man, Great vid, any idea if this is possible with any other races, I have two accounts and so Im thinking of making a few pvp characters for out of corp trolling around (possible RvB or FW) Im thinking of doing the same thing that you have and maybe a blaster or caldari? Im up for putting a little more time onto it but not too much as my main is training up archon stuffs for WH so cant take much time off of that.
and do you know if I activate an account that was inactive over Xmas will I be able to do this?
I haven't done too much research on the other races, but I'm pretty sure a Falloff Rifter is possible within 20 days (I have a video, although with my main using it on the channel). Caldari I imagine the merlin would be really good, I covered the kestrel already but it does need about 5-6 weeks before it comes good.

Would you change anything if your character had CPU Management V? I know you gave a lot of options but I'm still at a loss at what to alter.
exe If you have CPU Management V, then you can upgrade the T1 Damage Control to T2.

It's an old video before they changed the propulsion graphics and had a clear different ui icon between disruptor and scrambler.
I was only disrupted by a warp disruptor not scrammed.

Ilar Ran Dar blaster frigs. stay at range. railgun frigs get in close. Just look at the optimal ranges of certain guns and look at the combat log what gun he's using.

+Robsfund FW might be a bit harder, because people tend to use more generalized fits for 1v1 and usually fly upship (Faction Frigates), you could still do the same fit though with maybe the MWD subbed out for an Afterburner.

EVE is easy even in a low SP char, but you've once again proven that the most important thing is the pilot. New pilots can't perform like you, even with more SP. It all comes with experience though, so good work posting that video, I hope it will encourage people.

2) There isn't really for the Rifter, It's been awhile since I made that video and things have changed a little.
3) The Executioner has 3 mids, is much faster and does almost the same DPS as the Punisher, has better cap regeneration, less cap cost from role bonuses and less turrets, where as the Punisher has a armor resist bonus, +2 more lows for even more tank, and a ton of fitting room. In lowsec I'd probably recommend the Punisher.

Something like this should work well for a young character while being quite cheap. Feel free to swap the small ancillary out for another small repairer if it's too expensive.
The Blood Raider ships come from the Blood Raider LP store, You would need to run missions for them in Delve and then use the LP to buy the Cruor blueprint. They also drop from blood raider 3/10 complexes, and some Blood Raider faction spawns have a chance to drop them.
Cruor isn't very useful for PVE, it's a very strong 1v1 PVP ship though, if you want something for PVE I'd recommend the Succubus instead.
I'd recommend training t2 small frigate guns first, they give you a lot more options and you want to improve your damage as much as possible so you can gank targets before their friends come to save them.

no nothing has changed, the CPU should be fine. Make sure you're using the exact same fit as the named modules are used to save CPU, check that you have the same skills as my char too eveboard.com/pilot/xKristina1997x. Make sure you have CPU Management 4, Weapon Upgrades 4.

Hey man, when I made the video the Small Ancillary Armor Repairer was much cheaper, this exe fit has unfortunately doubled in cost because of the Small Ancillary rep going from sub 1mil to 5mil.

it would be nice if you explained some of the terms like "kite" and "paste". your speaking in lingo that are not understandable at points.
+NUKE ZAP To kite would be to fly away from your opponent while shooting him, to try and stay outside of his guns' optimal range while staying inside yours. "Paste" is short for "Nanite Paste", the item you use to charge your ancillary armor repairer and also lets you repair damage you take from overheating your active modules.

In my experience more then 90% of pvp pilots are using approach and orbit. They even kite with "keep at range". It is easy to manually burn in to their face (little jo-jo and you are there)

The video is misleading, as you have to know exactly what to do. No one that is actually new is going to do this. How many new pvp players going to wait 20 days even have a chance to win a pvp encounter (without help), in a game where death brings major losses?
Also, the skill system is the most limiting, hampering part of the game, designed to make money with the subscription. And as a new player, you have so little options, especially in pvp. Basically pay to win, with the added aspect of waiting real world time for skills to complete. It's like those mobile games without the ability to pay to speed up training time. They should add a way of accruing skill points in game by playing, but that goes against the financial model of the game. It's the worst part of the game and it's stuck with it now. Such a shame because it's a very interesting game.
TempZ You are missing the point. Of course people aren't sure what to do, that's the point of videos like this. They show you what skills you will need, and how to fly the ship in general.
People think that EVE is "only for high skilled, veteran players", but this video shows what you can do with a completely new character, with 20 days of training (less than one PLEX or a 21 day trial). And might I add, these 20 days of training are not stopping you from PvEing while you wait for the skills to train.
You get one of these ships for free in the tutorial (as an Amarr character). You will be able to sell the stuff you don't need (that you also get from the tutorial) to fly two more of these ships. Also, you can use a full T1 fit, and be only slightly worse than this fit, so its not a "major" loss. And if you don't like the skill-point mechanic, don't play the game. Don't expect a game from 2003 to suddenly change now.
