I've been going to see Dwight since 1986 and every single time Pete has blown my mind. Dwight's current guy Eugene Edwards is great and gets most of Pete's licks...but Pete is *killer*. He invented these riffs. I've spent way way too much time working on learning these parts myself! Until I saw this video I was still not sure if that was Pete doing artificial harmonics, or a pedal steel. I should not have doubted The Master. It's really hard to pull those harmonics off as cleanly and strongly as Pete does.
Thank goodness someone respected and respects true old country enough to keep it alive. D.Y. You are a true blessing to all of us who will forever be fans of the original /real country music. You are a huge part of it. Same goes for all your band member's. 😍🤗😙😙❤❤❤👍👍
One of my most favorite songs from Dwight is "I sang dixie" we played this song at my dad's funeral in 1993, we felt it was the perfect son to send him home as he was an alcoholic and only 55 years old when.he died. Thank you for the great song Dwight Yoakum!!

As fate would have it my date blew me off so I took my Dad which scored major points, especially when I found her a chair to sit on when they were all taken. It took me a while & some begging & pleading but thankfully I wasn't the only Gentleman there that night. We've been happily ever after since then :-)
