I am in the drumline that Collin Peters instructes and this is one of my favorite cadences we do and basses get no love cuz its a tenor cadence. We have cadences for basses to shine and same for snares and cymbals
Triplet notes over 16. notes are very common in street samba, so they're absolutely okay, but it may take some time for some people to get used to them.
@CD this isn't street samba. It is a drumline cadence, which are supposed to sound articulate and together. Also, cadences are stand tunes for the people who are watching the games, so when they hear two different sections that are playing 2 different intervals, it's not gonna sound good to them.
It’s really good! Love the tenor groove!
Some of the rhythms don't line up and the basses get no attention but that was some fire in the tenor music

The sticking would be very wonderful to have
Sounding dirty when you aren’t just does something for me 🔥🤣
Guys I think he played quads
claramente um gringo interpretando samba
o trabalho ficou peculiar
nosso ritmo é realmente muito difícil
" Yeah, I think I'm pretty good at tenor drum ! "
Never mind. 😅
Its actually note that hard i learned it in a week
the triplets over 16th notes gave me a headache
Good 🤣‼️🤙🏽🔥
It’s not fast enough to be a cadence (~120bpm), but this could definitely be a cool stand groove
what do you think a cadence is
@@eboone What he means is imagine marching to this. It's just too slow to be marching to.
really goodexceot for the triplets over 16tj notes that sounded bad
Sounds better at 1.25x
I think we found the tenor player
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 lets play this in brazil!
How do you edit it like that
Onde consigo as partes
Dont
Seems like it’s just a tenor-loving cadence. The other parts get no attention.
bad notation, but it sounds AWESOME
writing triplets over sixteenth notes sounds bad and makes it sound like a dirty drumline, so dont
It can work if you do it tastefully
@ebenW it didn't sound tastefull here though

Snare super bland, def written by a tenor lover
No actually it’s written by a snare player. Its just one of our tenor cadences
