My problem lies with shows like this fetishizing/normalising sexual behaviour amongst minors. I don't think it's a bad thing to have sexually active teens written in a show, however it super grosses me out that writers and producers feel the need to depict teenagers doing kinky shit.

The thing is, as someone who loves to criticize movies, I barely saw something wrong with the writing, and that showed me that the actors are trying their damned hardest to make it look better than it is, and actually succeeded in my opinion 😂. If that isn't good acting skills, than I don't know what is. Of course, there are some obviously bad moments, but I recognize that it's not the actor's fault, but the writer's. So mad respect for the cast of CAoS!

Being a cheerleader is hard work and takes tons of practice but they're just like "Hey guys lets randomly do a thing"
And then 10 minutes later they have this expertly choreographed routine down perfectly and it never goes wrong.
It's pretty clear that they just want these characters to be sexy...even though they're all meant to be 17 or so, which just makes it creepy.

Yeah I do not fucking understand that ending lol there was not a single hint of "Actually, I would love to be Queen of Hell" before that time travel stuff. I have no idea why that Sabrina just casually abandoned her whole family like that, that's so fucking stupid.
It made it out like she was making this massively selfish decision for her own benefit when the entire point of her becoming Queen was to protect everyone, she felt like that was her only option because she didn't know any better.
I could get it if the present Sabrina cast a spell on her past self to make her think she wanted to be Queen, as fucked up as that would be it would at least make sense.

The singing isn't the problem for me; it's the setup for the songs at times. Some parts work really well: I actually really liked the Hare Moon song and the lullaby spell at the end of the season. The teen band in Harvey's garage, while a bit annoying, did amuse me because it felt like a typical high school thing. But the cheerleading musicals? Nope. This show and Riverdale don't seem to get that cheerleading =/= choreographed singalongs.

anne with an e is a game changer kind of show that doesn't have to rely on sexual things for a storyline. anne with an e dealt with real issues in such a beautiful way that other shows have not. was the show not getting as much viewership??? like i'm honestly so shocked by the cancellation. the actors are amazing in their roles
Both Sabrina and Riverdale had an amazing start but then the writers didn’t want to come up with storylines that actually made sense so they just decide to legit throw every random plot that you could actually imagine. I wouldn’t be surprised if they discovered that Betty and Sabrina are long lost sisters.

look at the newest season of riverdale, they stumbled awhile trying to find footing to start off their "epic new mystery" and it was clearly thought through before executed and the mystery actually ended up being entertaining and more grounded than the messes that are season 2 and 3 you can tell that they actually really thought about the mystery instead of just making it up as episodes go along and even if the starting was shaky the actual mystery was entertaining then what happened after the whole mystery of stonewall happened? a really bad musical episode about kevin and also about betty and archies feelings for eachother
the plot and drama when thought through is actually really fun and interesting but its clear the writers dont really plan beyond and always resort to goofy musicals and sex romance storylines
