Honestly Riverdale AND Sabrina were really good for their respective first parts/seasons, good concepts and ideas executed with a great twist of darkness and teenage drama you know ? But then it becomes shit because now that everybody is hooked, they become lazy as heck and ruins their storylines with absolute fuckery
i think its because the writers only really think about the first seasons plot then when the shows actually get picked up they make it up as it goes a long look at the newest season of riverdale, they stumbled awhile trying to find footing to start off their "epic new mystery" and it was clearly thought through before executed and the mystery actually ended up being entertaining and more grounded than the messes that are season 2 and 3 you can tell that they actually really thought about the mystery instead of just making it up as episodes go along and even if the starting was shaky the actual mystery was entertaining then what happened after the whole mystery of stonewall happened? a really bad musical episode about kevin and also about betty and archies feelings for eachother the plot and drama when thought through is actually really fun and interesting but its clear the writers dont really plan beyond and always resort to goofy musicals and sex romance storylines

Yeah and yet she still perfectly learns the moves and routines in all of the five minutes she has to learn them. The whole cheerleading thing in both these shows is stupid, I always just cringe thinking about it. Being a cheerleader is hard work and takes tons of practice but they're just like "Hey guys lets randomly do a thing" And then 10 minutes later they have this expertly choreographed routine down perfectly and it never goes wrong. It's pretty clear that they just want these characters to be sexy...even though they're all meant to be 17 or so, which just makes it creepy.
I watched Riverdale for Cole Sprouse and certain casts member's acting they gotta act like they don't hate these lines written for them. Had to drop it eventually tho. And I watch CAOS for Patience's and Ambrose's actors acting~

The singing isn't the problem for me; it's the setup for the songs at times. Some parts work really well: I actually really liked the Hare Moon song and the lullaby spell at the end of the season. The teen band in Harvey's garage, while a bit annoying, did amuse me because it felt like a typical high school thing. But the cheerleading musicals? Nope. This show and Riverdale don't seem to get that cheerleading =/= choreographed singalongs.
I hate Sabrina’s “friends” they only look for her when they’re in danger and Roz totally didn’t care about her when she hooked up with Harvey, they have no part in the story, they just bring problems.
Sabrina moved on because Harvey broke up with her because she was a witch but when he needs her powers he’s ok with her being one, and Roz should’ve respected that they dated in the first place, Harvey and Roz can date people I just don’t think they should date each other

@caro d. yup I think the only one I have doubt about ability to sing after part 3 is Kiernan Shipka herself.. she wasn't terrible, but her singing is more or less similar to Camilla Mendez and Lili Reinhart The rest of CAOS casts that sang in part 3 have great voices, and yeah Ross Lynch who plays Harvey is a real life talented singer, musician and songwriter if anyone haven't check him out, they should (he is The Driver Era band now)

The thing is, as someone who loves to criticize movies, I barely saw something wrong with the writing, and that showed me that the actors are trying their damned hardest to make it look better than it is, and actually succeeded in my opinion 😂. If that isn't good acting skills, than I don't know what is. Of course, there are some obviously bad moments, but I recognize that it's not the actor's fault, but the writer's. So mad respect for the cast of CAoS!

the plot and drama when thought through is actually really fun and interesting but its clear the writers dont really plan beyond and always resort to goofy musicals and sex romance storylines

The singing isn't the problem for me; it's the setup for the songs at times. Some parts work really well: I actually really liked the Hare Moon song and the lullaby spell at the end of the season. The teen band in Harvey's garage, while a bit annoying, did amuse me because it felt like a typical high school thing. But the cheerleading musicals? Nope. This show and Riverdale don't seem to get that cheerleading =/= choreographed singalongs.

Sabrina moved on because Harvey broke up with her because she was a witch but when he needs her powers he’s ok with her being one, and Roz should’ve respected that they dated in the first place, Harvey and Roz can date people I just don’t think they should date each other
Seriously, I can't stand any scene with Roz and Harvey. They have zero chemistry and it just seemed like the writers just wanted to pair everyone off for the sake of pointless relationship subplots.

@caro d. yup I think the only one I have doubt about ability to sing after part 3 is Kiernan Shipka herself.. she wasn't terrible, but her singing is more or less similar to Camilla Mendez and Lili Reinhart
The rest of CAOS casts that sang in part 3 have great voices, and yeah Ross Lynch who plays Harvey is a real life talented singer, musician and songwriter

caro d. Yeah he was in R5 (a family band) and then they recently, I wouldn’t say broke up but like yeah, changed to the Driver era. Their music is acc pretty good, they matured over the years and you can hear it in their music i would recommend checking them out

The thing is, as someone who loves to criticize movies, I barely saw something wrong with the writing, and that showed me that the actors are trying their damned hardest to make it look better than it is, and actually succeeded in my opinion 😂. If that isn't good acting skills, than I don't know what is. Of course, there are some obviously bad moments, but I recognize that it's not the actor's fault, but the writer's. So mad respect for the cast of CAoS!
