Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst (b. June 8, 1812 (erroneously May 6, 1814), Brno, Moravia (now Czech Rep.) - d. October 8, 1865, Nice) was a Moravian violinist, violist and composer.

wow...stunning music...stunning violinist
wonderful playing
The opening sounds similar to Paganini's concerto.
The movements are:
I. Allegro moderato
II. Adagio
III. Rondo: Valse
Really thought this was going to turn into the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto !! Glad it didn't. Great work brilliantly played.
Sooooo great! But it seems none of the modern violinists would like to play it or they don't know such great music.SAD!
Mmmm
Paganini-esque indeed.
Notice how he imitated Paganini's vcs into his style lol
Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst is one of the best composers, but he is not very popular.
Maybe he isn't popular because he isn't 'that' great...
It's amusing to me just how much of Ernst's output is clearly just him trying to copy Paganini. It's good music, but definitely almost straight-up pastiche. From time to time, Ernst does produce something original and proves his independent skill as a composer, but this isn't it.
