as an Indonesian, I love my country with its beauty, but in my opinion every country has its advantages and disadvantages, even countries that are said to be beautiful still have them, there is no need to compare the good and the bad, as the saying goes the most beautiful place is the house where we live and big 🤍 love both indonesia, philipines and other country ✨✨

The new laws that Indonesia just passed are going to really hurt tourism. Unmarried couples that have sex can be jailed for up to a year. People don't generally travel with marriage certificates. Also several other conservative Muslims laws are being passed. Religion is taking over the government like it has done in Iran.

I noticed foreign travel vloggers mostly start in the Philippines and become successful. More views and subscribers. Probably because of the people. Not only it's easier to communicate with them, Filipinos are the best fans in the world and they love tourists. They see tourists as guests, friends not just customers. The islands, beautiful places to go which you will never ran out matches them. That's why most vloggers come back to the Philippines. I disagree with you saying that Philippines is worth a week or two to travel. That's their initial plan but they end up staying more than a month and the others extend their visa to stay longer. Indonesia is very good country as well but I just noticed these points.
yes, vloggers start in the Philippines and when they have gained Filipino subscribers they go to other countries. thats what i observed.

Like, especially ladies who likes to be fair and doesn't want to be dark, that means skin color and that their bf's have to follow them. And yes honey dear, there are many Tourists / Vloggers like Koreans, Vietnamese, Chinese, UK, Canadians, Arabs, Europeans and many more whom I watched and met some personally. They are so nice and kind that makes me want to visit their countries as well. This makes the world a friendly place to live in. Meeting people from around the world in your country and visit their countries as well.

I lived 7 years in the Philippines 5 at Clark Air Base USAF and after I retired, I lived in Baguio where my wife is from. We both visit Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong but we always go back to the Philippines as we own two houses there. Now we are in the USA Corpus Christi Texas due to her job as a nurse practitioner.
I am a Filipino who visits Indonesia a lot. (Not Just Bali but alsoJakarta, Bogor, Bandung and others). Based on my observation.. Bali offers world class resorts at a reasonable price. I've seen so much resorts that are instagramable. There are only few nice resorts in the Philippines and most of the really nice are very expensive. But when it comes to the Beach, my country, The Philippines is far better. You can find a lot of beaches that are similar to Maldives. Turquoise water with white sand powder beach. Which can ve reached through island hopping. As one person commented "Bali for relaxation, Philippines for Adventure". When it comes to food, I enjoy Indonesian food than food in my Country. Lol. They have really flavorful dishes and delicious dessert like Martabak Manis. And street food are cheaper with a better quality and quantity. When it comes to people, I can say that Indonesians are kinder than Filipinos. I noticed how polite they are especially from Cashier to Sales lady. Unlike in my country, most cashier or sales person frown. The only downside with Indonesians is the language. A lot of them cannot speak/understand English.. While almost all people from the Philippines speaks/understand English. Even the street vendor or the street sweeper. I prefer Indonesia personally because I am someone who prefers relaxation over adventure. I even enrolled in a Bahasa Indonesia course just to be able to speak basic Bahasa Indonesia. 😸
As an Indonesian, i agree with the kinder thing. But I think Filipino it's more friendly, more humble, thats help me a lot but sometimes a little annoying because I'm an Introvert haha. And for the beach, its hard to compare because Indonesia has a lot dirty beach especially in the city but it's also have a lot beautiful beach that still not easy access especially for the tourist. So yeah I think still Philliphines the best for the beach, I can find beautiful beach anywhere haha.
Indonesia has many gorgeous beaches, but they are mostly in undeveloped area, thus harder to reach. Bali beaches, which what most tourist are exposed to, are nothing in comparison. Java is not known for their beaches.
@@DePeaceHunter I've yet to see them. I've made friends in other cities and I'm planning to visit to check their Beach. One of them is Kei Islands, it's not famous but a friend of mine is a native there and she said it's gorgeous. I hope I can find a beach in Indonesia with the same sand and water as Boracay. But either way, I'll keep coming back because of the culture and people.

hi I'm Heru from Indonesia, I just want to say when you want to experience a more real adventure with amazing colorful seasMaybe I would recommend you to visit Komodo Island, Kei Island, Derawan Islands, Raja Ampat, Pulo Cinto Gorontalo, Bintan Island, Belitung Island There are actually many more if I had to mention all of them, when you want to feel the feel of the mountains, you should visit the island of Java, especially the central and eastern parts You will find nice mountain views such as Mount Bromo (you have visited it), Mount Rinjani, Tana Toraja, Mount Dieng, Cokel River in Pacitan, Lake Toba etc. ...I hope you will visit my country again..and I hope you will consider what I recommend, amazing view Philippines 🇮🇩❤️🇵🇭

So my statement should have sounded like this: "In terms of proportion to the countries' respective islands' numbers in total, the Phillippines has a bigger number of untouched remote islands'. Well, it's quite a mouthful. But most could get the gist of it the first time, i think.

You haven't really see Indonesia as a whole.......you haven't visited the island of Sumatera ; Kalimantan ;Sulawesi ;Maluku ;Papua ........ every province is unique ,culturally and naturely.......
And you havent been to the Philippines. Bali is probably the best island in Asia. But Indonesia does not accept that Bali is the Queen of Indonesia. If not for Bali, no one will ever visit Indonesia. Bali is super beautiful! I have been everywhere in the Philippines! But i must say Bali is very special. So you must respect Bali. Megalang is also very nice, because of Borobudur and Mendot temple. I want to go see Kalimantan when Indonesia will have a new capital that will copy Bali.

Love both countries, along with Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and of course, Thailand. I have been living on and off in this region for three years now and I still can't decide! Except that SE Asia is one of my favourite regions in the world.
Every southeast Asian countries have so much to offer to tourists especially in case of beautiful beaches and nature landscape other than any region in the world. And the southeast Asian people are very welcoming. Visit them all if possible. I am from Philippines and are Proud of southeast Asia.

This video only discusses the western part of Indonesia, especially Java, the northern eastern part of Indonesia is mostly similar to the Philippines, but unfortunately most of it is uninhabited... what the Philippines has, Indonesia also has, but what Indonesia has, the Philippines doesn't necessarily have... because Indonesia is much bigger than the Philippines...
Both countries are awesome and are ultimate travel destinations for those in the know. The beaches in the Philippines are gorgeous and out of this world and the people are so friendly while Bali enchants with its Hindu influenced culture and temples

Siargao was badly hit by a category 5 typhoon last Dec 2021. Those palm tree roads are no longer there, it would take some years before nature can recuperate. So if you plan to visit the Philippines enjoy our other islands.

I would recommend for Philippine Island destinations "Boracay Island", "Malapascua island" & also can go from Malapascua to "kalanggaman island" by boat.. and if u love going snorkeling I would recommend bringing swimming goggles ,it's better than renting one

I've been to both and i think indonesian infrastructure more develop and the place more cleaner, have more public transportation, and the people food is freaking osm, have soo many destiation too, and indonesia not just have only beach, there's a lot of temples, and jakarta is more modern, the forest, the island is more develop, but when i driving around big city in ph there's still a lot of slum place, i think indo win, greating from brazil

@ riska Borneo don't judge the country Philippines because we have many more island and tourist destination and we have the island of Cebu, Bohol chocolate hills, Boracay is the queen beaches in the world and we have siargao if you go there you're mind will blown away, and we have El Nido in Palawan, and coron.

Great video. Well, The east part of Indonesia have insane beaches, Komodo and Flores are amazing, have amazing blue beaches but I agree that Filippines is insane, everywhere. Do not forget to visit North Thailand, natureeee!!!. Chiang Mai is a good place for digital nomads, a good place for a base. I was living there four months before Covid and it is great. Enjoy couple!!!!

I believe that Philippines have the best beaches and island in the world but , a lot of people just compare Philippines with indonesia just java and bali only.... Indonesia is beyond than that two islands... If you wanna compare Philippines n Indonesia u should compare with Eastern Indonesia (raja ampat, komodo, padar sumba maluku derawan weikuri bair ) so it will fair comparation....
In my opinion Philippines have most amazing beaches but Indonesia have more diversity...

I've been to both countries a few times and i like the Philippines more than Indonesia, although Indonesia is on my Top30 list of the 137 countries i visited so far. I'm only missing one topic .... the people. This is finally the reason, why i choose the Philippines over Indonesia. I also like the people in Indonesia, but the Pinoys are unpossible to beat, when it comes to friendliness

I think your comparison is spot on. I would add that while both locals are warm and hospitable, I connected more with the locals in the Philippines and had deep conversations where I learned about their resilience and admire them for it. I just visited the Philippines and am now in Indonesia, really using my time here to edit and upload my vlogs because, like you said, the internet and digital nomad community is a lot better in Bali. Thanks for sharing your insights.
we've visited both but I don't think I could pick a winner, they're both amazing places in their own right. But I would say Philippines = Adventure and Bail = Relaxation, however this is probably just my opinion because I had two very different trips in each place.
This is true. I wish my country (The Philippines) will also focus on building nice resorts at an affordable rate. Resort Rates here are crazy. You'll spend $500 for the same $100 hotel in Bali which has better amenities and views.

It’s good to know that you have more preferences about Philippines regarding its fantastic beaches and hospitable people and historical places and so on . I do agree that a lot of rural places needed more improvements when it comes to accessibility to transport . Hopefully all that will improve sooner or later. Over the years I have been traveling both Philippines and Indonesia - a lot! Well, I do not want to compare these to countries, there are several similarities but also many differences. But if I need to select two weeks holiday (traditional) - I would go to Philippines. Or....maybe central Indonesia?

Both countries are great destinations, but if you're into beautiful beaches, the Philippines has the edge.
Filipinos are very ignorant about their neighboring countries. All pride and no knowledges only leads to delussions. Philippines have great beaches... But Thailand has Iconic beaches. Which is so many beaches in the Philippines have dozens of Thai restaurants, thai spas, Thai hotels, and so many Souvernir items in Boracay and El Nido come from Thailand. The Rice people eat in El Nido and Boracay also come from Thailand.

Speaking about foods and culture there are huge similarity between Philipine and north part of Sulawesi which is next to each other and people in that area traditionally go back and forth.

If you want to visit best beaches in Indonesia ABSOLUTELY not in Bali. Lombok, Komodo National Park, and Raja Ampat could compete easily with beaches in Philippine or Thailand. Not to mention another beaches and marine national park in eastern Indonesia like in Sulawesi or Kei Island in Maluku.

Indonesia is wide, in term of land size is 1.9 million km (one of the biggest in the world), they have more Islands (over 17,000 Islands) and the size of the sea that surrounds Indonesia is vast than Philippines. Some of their Islands is untouched. Do you think that with those size (Land, sea, islands, flora & fauna) that surrounds Indonesia, the country are less beautiful than the Philippines? Why do I love Indonesia?
You know, Mother Nature in this country is the mastermind behind major natural disasters that can hit many countries and cause many fatalities, not just 1 or 100 times, but more than that. I will provide that information.
Imagine, in 1 city alone there are at least 100 tourist attractions (In 1 city). It's really crazy, no one knows Indonesia 100%. Because there are so many misunderstandings with tourist attractions in Indonesia. Even the sea in Indonesia has something like the Bermuda Triangle and natural attractions that make no sense. Because when we go to Indonesia the people are confused and have to make plans where we are going.
When I was a teenager, at the high school level I always studied and read books about nature in a library located in Europe. I found a book that said "Tambora The Years Without Summer" then also found a book that said "Krakatoa". Both of these books tell about nature and its brutality at the same time. Not only that, in the book it is explained that the incident is located in 1 country but in different regions. Was it the only tragedy that was written by the International? No, there is a lot of history of major natural disasters in Indonesia that are written internationally.
I have to be honest when talking about Indonesia, without many people realizing that nature in Indonesia is also very cruel, often raging, abnormal and brutal. Total natural disasters in Indonesia (8 Years Calculation) :
>Year 2022 = 1.421 (Period Jan - Jun).
>Year 2021 = 3,058
>Year 2020 = 2,925
>Year 2019 = 9,375
>Year 2018 = 3,397
>Year 2017 = 2,341
>Year 2016 = 2,342
>Year 2015 = 1,682
Total natural disasters for 8 years = 26.541 (This is the most violent, brutal and deadly category in the world because of calculations in 1 country, not Chile/Japan).
I became very interested in the history recorded by the International and finally I bought a textbook on natural disasters in Indonesia written by European researchers, scientists and historians. It turned out to be much more amazing, that's when I fell in love with nature in Indonesia. This is not only about beauty but also about history which has a huge impact on many countries in the world. Nature in Indonesia is not only beautiful, but also very unique, different, diverse, strange and great. But on the other hand it is also deadly, brutal, often occurs, many casualties and is written in European history. That is nature in Indonesia, it has very different class categories.
If you know all the volcanoes, rivers, lakes, caves, waterfalls, beaches, mountains, rice fields, forests, wastelands and others in Indonesia (Nature), the nature is very insane. For me personally, a visit to Indonesia is the most memorable for me because I have visited 51 natural tourist attractions. Maybe I will come back again in 2024 to visit 109 tourist attractions, I have to save first.
List of natural tourist attractions in Indonesia that I have visited.
1). Krakatoa. (My favorite volcanoes).

Indonesia is a complete and very diverse tour package in large quantities. Even on trains, buses, airplanes, and ships, you can see different views from one country. It's really crazy, like going to another country but still in the same country. Imagine in 1 city and even then there are many tourist attractions. What about Indonesia as a whole? Millions of tourist attractions. Therefore, many people misunderstand tourism in Indonesia because it is too much and varied. Then you will find something unique and strange, at least go on 30 different trips to tourist attractions in Indonesia and I am sure you will have a much more extraordinary experience and lasting memories.

Other small islands : Acne.
Not only that, Indonesia has more than 500 volcanoes = Active, inactive and underwater. (Overall).
QUEEN MOTHER NATURE IN INDONESIA 10/10 (Mother Nature in Indonesia when viewed 100% is very colossal).
Nature in Indonesia is really insane very different class categories, there is a saying that says :
(Indonesia is the throne Queen Mother Nature).
There is even a study that has visited 400 tourist attractions in Indonesia and it is only 10% for him. From Sabang Sumatera to Merauke Papua (in 1 country) is expensive and long distance. It costs the same as you flying from Mexico to Argentina or Egypt to Dubai or Jakarta to South Korea or Spain to Belarus or India to Turkey or Maldives to Mongolia.
Indonesia was originally not an archipelago but a mainland called SUNDALAND (Western side of Indonesia) and SAHULLAND (Eastern side of Indonesia). However, 70% of the land was sunk into the ocean.
The territory of Indonesia is 60% sea, 30% (Forests, Volcanoes, Caves, Waterfalls, Rivers, Lakes, Mountains, Forests, Deserts, Cliffs and Canyons) and 10% Man-made.
The total area of Indonesia is 8.5 million km² (Including land, sea and EEZ). The coastline of Indonesia is more than 95,000 km² (The calculation of 55,000 km² is a wrong calculation because it is not from research calculations but from ordinary people who only guess). Even Indonesia has a lot of "National Parks for rehabilitation, conservation and nature reserves".
Indonesia is HEAVEN and HELL which collide with each other simultaneously. Has 2 different sides, representing real life. Traveling to Indonesia is not just about a relaxing and exciting travel experience, it is much deeper and more than that. You can even feel disappointed, emotional, confused, sad, tired, give up, smile, laugh, afraid, goosebumps, satisfied and others at the same time. Traveling to Indonesia, you will also feel the little things while in Indonesia.
Did you know that on the island of Bali itself it is estimated that there are more than 450 tourist attractions that you can visit. That's why many people compare Bali tourism with other countries (Even though Bali is one of the islands in Indonesia). Surely that's a comparison, because in Bali alone there are more than 400 tourist attractions which are equivalent to a country that is approximately as big as Bali, especially when compared to Indonesia 100%.
In fact, in Indonesia, a lot tourist attractions (100% overall) is more than 4,800,000 - 6,100,000 (This is a total of the craziest nature in the world, that's why Indonesia has been named the MOST BEAUTIFUL NATURE IN THE WORLD AND ALSO THE MOST BRUTAL) Imagine how crazy nature is in Indonesia that is not Humanity can fully explain it. Imagine that from the past until now, nature in Indonesia has been studied by many countries. Therefore, Indonesia is called prehistoric land by the International. In one country, there are things that are different, varied, many strange and whatever. That is why Indonesia was only known to the world in 2018, because researchers leaked information about nature in Indonesia when Krakatoa erupted in 2018 which caused approximately 500 people to die and 7,000 people to be injured and 47,000 people to evacuate. Is that the only thing that happened in Indonesia? Bali-Lombok Earthquake, Palu Earthquake 2018 and more than 1,000 natural disasters occur in 1 year in Indonesia.
Important note : Always be careful when visiting nature in Indonesia, I am talking about nature because recently a foreign tourist died at the Mount Batur. That's not all that happened, I just gave one example. Remember, nature in Indonesia has 2 different sides at once. If these 2 sides are combined it will be "DEADLY BEAUTY".

12:10 I think this is very true in many ways. Although, there are A LOT of expatriates in Metro Manila, and in the Philippines in general. This is definitely because the Philippines is an English-speaking country. All of the country's road signs and laws are written in English, so communication is much easier with international visitors and residents than most anywhere else in Asia. That said, there is no centrally located expat/international community that I know of. They're all spread out through the cities. 😆
Bali's economy was 100% completely made on the back of the surfing industry. Indonesia is arguably the best surf destination/s on earth. how could that not be included in the comparison?
