Home and Belonging: Reimagining the Global Zarathusti Youth

The global Zoroastrian community has been wrestling with the concepts of home and belonging since it was displaced from its homeland of ancient Persia. Based on a research sample from the Zoroastrian Return to Roots program, the speaker will discuss how young global Zarathustis engage with the ideas of home and belonging while reconnecting to their ancestral homelands. The speaker aims to shed light on the broader issue of how transnational Zoroastrian youth have negotiated their experience of home and belonging given the community’s long history of displacement and migration.
