Lovely video. We are currently awaiting delivery of a couple of Cloud Peak tents. Finally decided to try tents rather than bivi bag and/or Military Basha. Will reserve judgement on quality of sleep until we have used them a while. Thank you for sharing your exploits. Stay well, stay safe, Helen and Katarin Juska-Law, Stella and Terri with Robyn.

Thank you so much !!. I really enjoy using the cloud peak... it is quick to put up/ take down.. by wrapping the guy lines around the poles you give it extra stability.. I have taken it out in storms.. infact the first video you commented on ( storm on a Neolithic hill fort ) was the cloudpeak.... my only gripe with it is the zips are cheap, nasty that catch the storm flap all the time,, which can be difficult when you are inside trying to get out...Take care out there.

I've not yet listened to that much pink floyd, but it's generally nice songs when I happen to. I think I've seen some old german military rucksack, which had a folding sleeping mat act as frame, where it woild be inserted into a space between the part that's against your back and where put your stuff. I have also had to use a frameless backpack for some time, and it happened I had a folding camping chair that, when folded up, would be a rectangle the size and shape of the backpack, stayed in place and supported the weight wonderfully. Nice coincidental solution.
Only 60 for a rucksack like that seems like a steal, however I find myself doubting its longevity as it's from aliexpress.
For a tent I've mostly used the Nallo 3 GT, also wonderfully easy to pitch and take down even when alone, or the Halti Laavu pro, which is a bit tricky to pitch alone as there is a straight pole in all four corners of the rectangle.
I love making good food on hikes, usually plan out and bring something really good for the first night on a hike, or it it's winter and minus degrees, I can eat like a king every day as it won't go off in the cold.
Lovely video, brought a peaceful moment to my day, a glimpse into the woods I'll return to.

I have seen the German folding sleep mat , though not the rucksack that it fits.. I have a few rucksacks, small to large everyone under 25ltr has no frame . So this is the first time I have dealt with a frameless larger pack... it is made by 3ful gear, that's the same company that make the lanshan tents, so it is well made.. the first model did have a problem with the belt if you over packed it, but this is the updated version( mk 2) and they have strengthened the belt.. Ali Express is really just a distributor ... I always take the colsed cell foam mat as a back up to the inflatable sleep mat, so this pack is perfect for that... it's still new so I will find niggles with it.. I will do a review of it once I have used it for a long enough time... I hope you get back to to woods soon... Take care out there.

    Nice relaxing video👍
That rucksack looks interesting. Is the mat comfy like that and won't it sweat a bit?
Like you, I have family all over. England, Wales, Scotland, Lithuania, Canada, The USA and we are in Ireland.
Now Im off to make a bacon butty after my exercise walk.

Thanks it was very relaxing, well after camp was all set up... my back sweats even with my vented osprey bags... I really didn't use the new bag for much.. I didn't even walk a mile , so I can't review it yet !!. However once it's been broken in , I shall give it a critical review.... Take care out there.
