For better comprehension I'd rather read this material than listen to it.
Thanks a lot for the lecture wich allows to understand better the Russian Avant-garde in conjunction with the exhibition.
If the speakers would not read their text, it would be easier to understand them. They read too quickly, hence mumble, do not pause and there is very little cadence to their voice. Listening to this is quite unpleasant.
this is the third talk by art historians i've seen on youtube where the presenters just read their damn papers. wtf.
Great set of talks. Really enjoyed it @malevichsquared

These curators, art historians etc. only understand what they have learned, but ignore today's self-taught artists because they do not understand them. This is exactly how most art dealers and collectors act.
This is why a lot of the public and artists too dislike art historians, they leave out a lot about what is important about a culture as one of the audience members indicated for the sake of presenting, what, they, the historians feel , must be true
Man, the guy from the Q and A was pretty insufferable. Otherwise, it was nice to hear a discussion of suprematism, etc.
Feminist last speaker is the clearest talk, references current Putin-Trump climate, so the video keeps stalling there.
this doc doesn't work. too bland, too much space between speaker, & observer.
What a disaster for MoMa, their presentations have become so amateurish since they returned Guernica to Madrid...
