Taylor is the best Coach this Organization has ever had. Taylor is not perfect and his rotation moves can be questionable but we also know that several players have missed significant time this season that has thrown extra players into the rotation. Jaylon Wells is only playing because Vince was injured just like last season when Vince got playing time because of injuries. If I'm not mistaken Vince,Scotty,Wells and GG all were 2nd picks/G-Leauge guys who weren't expecting a lot of playing time but have been extremely pleasant surprises. We should be glad that we aren't what we were last season and get ready for a great tide eith having all of this depth. Let's lock in and get after these folks night in and night out...
Us fans are always on the back and forth about how crazy his coaching can be to how he's the best we've ever had. We forget what Hubie Brown and Mike Fratello had to work with back in the day. Cheap ownership that didn't take advantage of Pau's prime years and a bunch of end of career scrubs.
there are three losses that the Grizzlies are going to regret. When the team is healthy then maybe they can be overcome. But the losses to the Bulls and home & away to the Nets are the difference between the grizz being 8th and being 3rd in the West. Here's hoping for health.
I think a big reason why Jenkins manages to have such shitty rotations and has an unwillingness to change them despite whats going on in the game without any repercussions from management is because of his relationship with the players. It's a shame because I'd love for Memphis to be open to a replacement coach if a better one becomes available but I don't think ownership would risk angering the players like that.
So y’all are calling for Taylor Jenkins job already because of ONE REASON (bad early-season rotations.) meanwhile we are 8-6 with a top 7 offense AND defense. The only other teams to do that so far being GSW and CLE and they barely have any injuries at all. Taylor Jenkins is also getting the most out of his bench compared to every other NBA coach. Not to mention two 50+ win seasons with a young team. Every other fan base I hear talk about Memphis says we’re in a good spot, but y’all so focused on poor rotations in the early season that y’all don’t see that we’ve actually started well this season. Memphis being the first team this year to fire it’s HC would confuse the whole league cuz it makes no sense.
@keithfisher8807 This isn't a recent issue, this has been going on since the 2022 playoffs and because no one holds him accountable it doesn't change. Where we sit offensively and defensively doesn't change the fact that Jenkins cannot be above criticism because that's how we get to a playoff series where he hasn't figured out rotations and it's actually crisis mode. I didn't say fire the guy, I said give repercussions because there clearly has not been any to this point or he would be improving. Your mentality of "Good enough where they're at" would keep the Grizzlies without a championship forever sorry to say.
@Liz_Mushroom I disagree with you that Memphis should be open to a coaching change this season. Nothing affects rotations as much as injuries and we’ve had it the worst outside of the Pels this year. I don’t think the rotations right now are “good enough.” I don’t think the post season performances so far have been “good enough,” but I do think that injuries have affected us in those areas way more than our coach not being “good enough,” even though he’s not perfect. I never heard of Jenkins having bad rotations until this season so idk what you mean by happening since ‘22. This is not a long standing issue for Jenkins that’s held the team back so far.
Taylor Jenkins has always coached like he has a plan on a spreadsheet and he won’t deviate from that plan. He doesn’t have feel for the game or the moment. Coaching is nuanced and he doesn’t subscribe to that type of philosophy. He can only win when the talent on his roster far exceeds what’s being produced on the other side. Which is why he fails so often in the playoffs.
He really needs to consider player risk management. The Golden State game last week is a good example as he kept starters in when odds of winning were really slight these last 4 minutes. Great coaches use those 25 pt beat downs as teaching tools. He had Steven Adams on the floor two years ago in the last two minutes of a done game and it cost us a season.
It’s frustrating when it seems Jenkins will push guys like Konchar, Clarke, Laravia (who has played well so far). But then be so hesitant to give Minutes to guys who have played well like edey, Huff
I really like Scotty pippin, I even like him a little more than tyus jones. Love Edey and to me when he comes in usually that game goes better. Taylor does some very odd noticeable line ups though. I think the new offensive scheme is good but I’m wondering if it’s holding bane back a little.
Because he doesn't believe Yuki Although there are still 4 minutes left when leading by 10 points, he believes that if Yuki is sent on the field, the team will be defeated by the opponent.
Joker not better than Gianiss 😂😂. Jaren best on the team. If you need a stop who you pick Giannis or Joker . Eventually defense have to come into play when considering a player is better than someone else.

Taylor isn’t the best coach we ever had…our most winning coach? Sure, but not our best..

I mean Lionel Hollins was kind of that dude for us. How fresh are you to the team?

I wanna see more of Jaren Zach and bane on floor for least 15 mins! Please !!

Taylor Jenkins is probably so happy that Zach Edey got hurt. Now he doesn’t have to pretend to care about giving him minutes.

@Liz_Mushroom top 3 in assists too and 2nd in bench points

Agreed 100%! Playing time doesn't have to be absolute. When a player catches fire, let it burn out instead of taking him out.
Yes

So sick of our playing being and getting hurt man. Just can’t ever catch a break

Hubbie Brown is the 🐐 he didn't have half the talent we have now with a 10 man rotation
Yeah the starting 5 was shocking. Not sure how Edey came off the bench…

I think Hollins is the best coach in Grizzlies history. It was terrible the way they let him go.
Can they buy Edey a 9ft rim so he can work on his dunk mechanics.. he only knows the 2 hand Shaq dunk🫣
Why did Taylor sign a point guard/#17 and not play him? These mini point guards haven't worked in the past, and this is the time to test him.
Because he doesn't believe Yuki
Although there are still 4 minutes left when leading by 10 points, he believes that if Yuki is sent on the field, the team will be defeated by the opponent.
@alnonkie Why sign someone that he doesn't believe in?
what heppened to the Warriors post game show😂
they don’t post on the weekends
@ i thought “Locked On” was everyday
like Lakers, Warriors, Kings, Mavs etc
@@2841guilherme it’s monday thru friday here

Jaren is not better than Ja 😂😂
Nuggets will smoke you punks if Jokic is playing on Tuesday.
Ok
Both teams without their best player and the Grizzlies team is 15 points better.
@@ceejordan9649 Nuggets would still win if Jokic and Ja were playing. He is that dominant. You know that is true.
Why you here? I always think it’s funny style when other teams ova here talkin shit. I stay in my own lane. Go be big mad wit your people. Smh
Only time will tell.🙂
