The Matterport Pro2 camera scans just in one direction towards the objects in the room, so yes, whenever there are lots of items that occlude (hide) what is behind it, you will need to scan more. For example, a showroom with many walls will require many more scans than an open office space where the camera's depth sensors will be able to quickly ascertain the geometry. If you look down at any Matterport model you won't have that problem. The Matterport is so popular because you don't have to place the scans manually in post-production, the tour is processed in the cloud, and then it comes back to you with everything where you placed it when you made the tour, with the exception of the 360's that you take outside or on a balcony, for example.
