I do love ROMs from the back of Dave's van!
I was only half listening to this vid until I heard "Commodore 64 wi-fi adapter." Can't wait to hear more about that!
My parents subscribed to the Home Computer Coarse, We must have an entire collection. They were so exciting. I drooled over the ST in there when I had an 800XL.
Cut-away images of 80's tech ! Lovely
Atmosphere... man that takes me back!
The memories in that box. My first PC was a ZX Spectrum +
I remember getting The Home Computer Course when I was a teen, many moons ago. Awesome set of periodicals.
As much as I love a fresh, clean package from Amazon, there's something so exciting about a slap-dash-wrapped package sent from a stranger. Such an air of mystery!
Some nice stuff there. Good to see you back to videos. Looking forward to a tour of the studio, I'm current getting my studio/man cave built so inspiration may be taken.
Nice video dude. Always a pleasure to hear your dulcet tones!
So glad to see you back. New space looks real nice. Take care & thanks
The most exciting unboxing video I've watch in a long time, excitement level Jackie Chan.
I want to go back in time just so I can read the Home Computer Course series
Another great video. I watch a lot of un-boxing videos and I must say this one was very nice. I dig the music.
The wifi module for the C64 has many times the compute power of the actual C64
holy shit, atmosfear! that bought back some memories
The canvas of Doom E1M1 😍
Awesome! It's been a while since the last Unboxing video. I'm glad you liked it. Hoping to see the Vega Solaris in the future :)
=> I love your Byte Size talks on history. Well researched and explained. Became a subscriber!
Hah excellent! I had Super Spy on my ZX48 :) Happy times followed my my then Amiga 500 with the Rainbow Island pack and this massive pack of games from Silica Shop, in London somewhere. A bit of reminiscing :)
Lovely stuff, Pete! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!
Seriously though good to have you back. You're one of the best British UA-camrs and computer UA-camrs full stop. (This has been waiting to be entered since I left my stupid comment last night). It's always good to have a UA-camr as fond of 90s Red Dwarf as I am.
Edit: I had that girls edition casio. I didn't care it was for girl I much preferred the colouring on it.
Congrats on the new office Mr Nerd! Im sure it will help house all the cool stuff your lovely viewers send :D
Nice picture of Doom 1 E1M1 on the back wall and what looks like a Pain Elemental plushie (neat).
This vid makes me want to go through all my old boxes, pretty sure I have Duke Nukem Atomic edition lying around somewhere...
Good to see my box of Spectrum, PS1 & N64 surplus got to you fine.
Nice to have you back.
I had The Munsters for the Amiga 500 but could never get into it, so I gave up playing. Your voice reminds me of one of the presenters on BBC Click.
Probably spencer
Those magazines are wicked!
that mini gameboy thing is awesome looks so cool too. I want it. Now!
Nice to see ya back fella, thought you'd gone silent of lately
Great video, thanks man!
Crikey you get sent some stuff. Studio is looking good!
So glad to see you again. Missed you.
Oh, I have the collection of The Home Computer, translated to Spanish. It is still the best tech encyclopedia I ever saw
An episode of GBR Thrifts would not go amiss mate!
So this is the shared space where Ashens, Nostalgia Nerd and some one else has set up shop for a combined office eh. Looks good.
All that Spectrum Goodness! 👍🏻
Like the tshirt and new den 👍
Certain moments the music had me flashing back to Neon Genesis Evangelion
Anyone else getting mild homicidal urges after two or three minutes of that piano music? Just me then..
Splendid
Nice new studio
good to see a new vid, dude. wb!
hopefully you'll be able to find time to get back on twitch as well. tex murphy has bills to pay! xD
That moment when you forget what a naughty man Mr Harris had been..... Lol
Ohhhh, I haven't forgotten.
Who would have thought he would end up causing such a didgerodo?
C64 wifi adapter sounds sweet.
New office pan. First thing I see is the first generation Sega Genesis CD system!
Toy Story 2 is still one of my all time favourite ps1 games and is still extremely playable today.
I got an Atari ste. in the 90s. it come with a video digitizer. so I digitized some scenes from The living daylights. one of my fave Bond films
Can't wait til you're back making more videos!
Stay tuned for imminent further uploads!
@@Nostalgianerd so stoked!
I hope to see more Byte Size videos :)
Looking at the GPD and thinking... did they adapt from a portable DVD player, well the casing at least
I hope any computer mag/book pages being stuck together is from soda or pastries.
Thumbs up for the C64 wifi. W000T
Hmmm.... your magazine sorting algorithm could use some optimization.
Better look for the issue on implementing Quick Sort! ;)
didnt their used to be a binder for the home computer course?
Just to make things even more confusing, the subs mention a steve "erwin" for the level 20 joke.
I have been waiting for a new GPD XD...but I need more than a slight upgrade before I throw more money down. I was really disappointed with the GPD Win, but I am huge fan of the XD.
blast corpse niiiiiice. time to get moving!
Curious about the GPD XD Peter !!! Seperate review incoming soon?
Absolutely sir!
@@Nostalgianerd Btw. when you find time check your Twitter pm's plz.
Will you be able to connect to mutiny on your C64 now?
You should manage your channel/patreon income and expenses on the Sinclair
What was the 'stolen' story behind the space marines artwork? My brain pinged when you said it but I can't remember the story.
I may well do a short video on it soon.
Loving the unboxing videos as always. I have an interesting collection of stuff for you if you're interested?
Neato.
Rolf Harris level 20 eh - what court case was that one?
The one where Rolf was arrested for wearing a long coat in public and nothing else. He would approach strangers, open his coat and shout "can you tell what it is yet?"
Commodore 64 wifi adaptor?
Why does Nostalgia Nerd and LGR almost sound the same. Nice video tho 🙂
Fancy schmancy.
...and where have you been?...
...oh you just explained. Nevermind.
1:49 - Phwoar!
Had to save it when I found it in a box of stuff the charity shop were going to bin.
Nice save!
Oh Christ!
wow new and sealed almost game! the vhs has no mould on it too! oooh wasn't cheap though i saw the sue rider sticker that shop is way over priced, its more a shop then chairty shop the amount of new stuff they have,
WHY?! why would you want to use internet on the 64?! unless it has the dail up sound then that is okay,
BOXED SINCLEAR GAMES?!?! okay the inner nerd is going mad i've never seen that! i've seen other boxes, i though they were just a cassette tape and that was it but wow, sealed cassette tape rare as its a game, you might find the odd seal cassette but it'll be something odd like the stuff i listen to, CROC! i remember that, ad an ex blockbuster rental one got as far as the neptune boss and gave up,
ashens is more after the actily computers/game systems mostly so he can write another 3rd book, but those are neat i think he'd be more into the odd ball mags like the ones that offer you stpid things like free zx games that were bad and they had a ton that they wanted to get rid off
eBay link doesn't work....
Seeing the same thing on my end, also broken on the website footer (same url so it's no surprise)
I don't want to be Rolph Harris level anything, just saying
Perfectly understandable.
6:31 sounding like a right London chap right there...
Ashens never responded to me when I offered to donate a popstation clone he never reviewed. I always find that very un-professional.
and yes this was years and years ago when it was still relevant and yes he was taking donations, he just ignored mine.
How did you do it? Email or social? Could have gone into junk/spam folder etc, or he could have had literally thousands upon thousands of emails and cant reply to all. Don't get so butt hurt about it, you can't expect a one man band, doing everything he does, to have the time to respond to literally everybody.
I can understand, it's hard to keep up with emails and messages sometimes. There are lots of emails I've probably missed, unintentionally.
wtf? 9:01
