Thanks mate the wife gone on holiday and left me a list as usual, re-grout tiles is on there and it’s been 20yrs since I’ve done it couldn’t remember when to wipe clean so great vid mate thank you
Thank you so much for your very clear instructions and excellent demonstration. I haven't done grouting in twenty years and your video was the perfect refresher!
Attempting to do my bathroom and kitchen floor and am very grateful for your videos. Headed out now for a mask and some extra buckets and sponges as I’d already purchased a dremel, hand tool and the grout. Going to attempt just small maybe 4x4 sections at a time. Thanks again and wish me luck. 🍀
Thank you SO much. This has been really helpful - and I am now going down to Leominster Building Supplies to get the stuff I need! I am actually looking forward to doing this (previously, hateful) job.
A lot of manufacturers don’t recommend using a drill and whisk to mix grout, but rather to do it by hand. This is because the powered method introduces a lot of air into the mix and causes the grout to go off quicker.
I recently grouted my bathroom using black Mapei grout. It’s been weeks since have done it, the grout appears dry but for some reason if it gets wet, it will run and come off on my hands. It also seems very porous. Any advice?
Our grott has cause a leak, I can see small cracks and when the shower is on it leaks when the tiles are wet. Luckily we have another bathroom we can use until I regrott it.
I have a small area to grout and a big bucket of grout which needs to be mixed. So is it possible to use part of your advice and instead of following manufacturers instructions to use the whole lot as theyre packages of stuff to mix in are all weighed in their specific weights to create the chemical reaction. Its expensive too, i didnt buy it and will waste most of it because i dont need it. Any help is appreciated, thank you
using the instruction from the manufacturer, with the amount of water and grout, I can only get a peanut butter level, otherwise I will be adding too much water...
Love how the British DIY instructors get right down to it without a lot of unnecessary chit chat. Great video! 😊
Excellent clear instructions. Not just how but why. Thanks.
Broke everything down brilliantly! Thank you chief
Very, very helpful! Thank you! Now, I hope to try this myself.

Thanks for the advice Darren!
Do u need to clean the tiles before removing the old grouting?
When you start wiping the excess off would you recommend warm or cold water.
So great really helpful thanks
Do I have to sand old grout out or can I grout over the old grout?
this is super helpful. Just a question, I have re-grout a corner and a grout like that touches glass. Any tips or suggestions ?
All corners are usually done with silicone, not grout

You may potentially have to strip the plaster board if that’s what it’s sat on as it will soak

What is the ratio of powder grout to water if you only need small amount please 🙏
Should say in the instructions on your packet of grout. I suspect different brands would have different ratios.
@@sharitucker8263 thank you. They only provided for the whole packet but I figured it out
Always wear gloves and NEVER grout with your fingers, especially in the corners!!
Good advice JB
