One thing I wish IL-2 did that DCS does is give off more realistic flashes when you hit a plane with your guns, but also when you damage the hydraulics you can see your foe’s landing gear drop down. DCS does some things really great with the warbirds, one thing IL-2 needs a serious overhaul of is the sounds. But some things DCS lacks are adjustable gun convergence, delay fuses with the WWII bombs and reasonable aircraft matchups (really no reason for a Bf109 K-4, FW190 D-9 or an I-16 when the only WWII maps cover pretty much the Normandy and Channel sector up to Dunkirk)
I like the me410 concept and love the aesthetics. But then I think practical and go like "what a waste of DB603s, Kurt Tank could put they in better use"
Mosquito is WAY faster and carries more forward guns by default. The 410 has very good rear guns but the mossie design philosophy of not get caught is a better way. 410 looks cool AF though
@@rawnukles in hindsight lots of planes would have benefitted from being sleek and fast rather than having defensive gunners. when you look at post war designs everyone eventually embraced this.
didn't know Battle of Stalingrad was that beautiful. I stopped with Sturmovik a long time ago. Do you guys think it's possible to play this one with keyboard and mouse?
Having seen the cringy BK misses, I as a seasoned armchair pilot suggest that you use ranging (watch wing span vs reticle) and learn the projectile arc. This way you can snipe and stay out of the unfriendly pew pew that whittles away at your airframe. Remember to break away in time.
What this Sim needs is the visuals of DCS and heavy bombers.
Nah, Normandy is hell ugly in DCS. Only need is B17s yep

That pane of glass in front of the pilots face is weird!
I think it's a sheet of "armoured glass", presumably to give the pilot some protection when attacking bombers.
I wonder how this compares to the Mosquito!

No, you can only really play with the tanks with a mouse.
Yes you can. Its a bit War Thunder Style than.
No, highly recommend buying a basic thrustmaster first.
@@pethell448 You can but it would be torture,a decent joystick is not much money and makes for a very pleasurable experience.

Jonas . what is the purpose of the ZRF4 gunsight on this airplane? or maybe to word it better, when should it be used? thank you for your input.
@@dntlss to use it as a scope for the cannon i think
