That’s why Andy Murray is always tired and having injury’s from doing this kind of split step wasting time and energy , look at Federer and djokovic there split step is much lower and effective

Um you probably wanna split step while your opponent is hitting the ball or as they are swinging forward

Worth the thought. If you are making too many explosive movement that aren't productive then it could wear you down especially in 5 set matches.
