I loved that you did this. This past Mother’s Day, I made brunch for the women on my MIL side… Since her passing in 2021, I try to be more intentional especially with my grandma in love. I also took my Mother on a date to a fancy restaurant on Haitian Mother’s Day… Their generation are not used to this type of love and treatment. It’s a blessing to be able to have these moments 🥰.

This is the most inspiring blog that I have EVER seen, and I feel like I've seen hundreds of vlogs... My upbringing with my mom is very similar to yours and you have inspired me to spend more quality time with my mom and ask those questions whereas I can get an understanding of why she was a certain type of mom to me in my younger years. I absolutely loved this. I grew up with the same childhood (except my grandmother is the Pastor) so my mom is just like yours. I’m 35 and now I realize I am living the dream my mom didn’t know how to go after. It’s a blessing to be able to help them become free now.

That’s amazing you were able to have that time with your mom. That time you and your mom had sounds so amazing and a huge blessing. Now that I’m a mom, I 1000% understand just a little how mom must have felt. My mom was born in 1952 and died in 2014 there’s a huge culture changes in that timeline alone. I wish I could have the opportunity to speak to her and truly hear her truth at this age of 36 because it would have helped me so much as a mother of a 10 year old but also the healing process within my relationship with mom. Thank you for sharing your experience and your mom! ❤

I had the BEST girls trips with my Mom and the best Daddy-Daughter trips with my Dad. Loss my Dad in 2018 and my Mom in 2022, so those MEMORIES are precious and priceless!

I loved all of this for you & your mom...I wish my mom was still here on earth...My siblings & I got alone with her so good before she passed & it was such a blessing because she was in her 50's when she got sick & passed away so young

So much I want to say , but let me just say how i appreciate what you did for mom. I lost mom last October and when I think back to the things i used to do with and for her, I still feel like it wasn't enough. Even if conversations may get uncomfortable for you, still push through and know that you have something special with your mom. Relish in every moment with her, including the not-so-great ones. I wish I had mom back to even yell at me but I'm thankful that she's resting in power. God bless you and your family🧡

I love this. My daugher and took our 1st adult mother/daughter trip to 🇯🇲 in 2022. My husband and I alwasy fly 1st class but this was my daughter's 1st time. She was like, this is how you and daddy travel. She said, "I'm never going behind the curtain again"😂😂. Last year, she booked our 2nd trip together to Tulum and she got the 1st class tickets. Now it's a tradition for us. The week before Xmas is now our trip time. So glad you and your momma had a great time and you treated her so well. Yess to loving and healthy mommy/daughter relationships 💕. Can't wait for our annual trip in December 😁. This year it is the Bahamas.

This made me think of my relationship with my mom and how I should spend more quality time with her while I have her. Also, my relationship with my 31 year old daughter that I had young at 18 and made mistakes with.

Loved this vlog and the end. A few years ago I started interviewing the elderly people in my family and recording it. I got the idea because my cousins interviewed my great grandmother and for some reason I didnt see it when she was alive. I had SO many questions after that I couldn't ask. Do you put any sunscreen on your scalp since you have braids. I was thinking about that for my upcoming trip. I need to wear sunscreen more. I do when I'm going to be outdoors, but then forget to apply again. My other great grandmother passed away from melanoma cancer. She was your complexion. I'm lighter so I definitely need to be more diligent.
