The short of the Sea Shanty singing fish had me giggling for 10 minutes after watching it when I thought about it again, i decided to look you up to find the story behind it
Same. When they went to the chorus I just died laughing. I think mostly because I remember how my dad bought one - but from that point forward he hated them. Never could clearly explain why. He would of really freaked over a wall of them.
"Not qualified" however you have qualified your skills with a wall of MIDI sync'ed faux fish, and no amount of $$ can pay for a qualification like that - never stop learning!
Hey, I've collected singing fish for a few years now and I just want to warn you. The fish with only two motors contain a part in the central mechanism called the whistle piece, which often break under stress and heavy use. It's more likely to happen on the older ones, like cool catfish and jaws. I think you'vee done a really good job at bringing new life to them all, but if that piece breaks you need to get it custom made. Oh, and three motor fish don't use it, so they should be fine! Sorry for the long comment and have a great day! Brandon
So glad I found you! PLEASE upload your tiktoks as UA-cam shorts, you're missing out on so much money! I've seen your content stolen a lot recently and it always does well, a lot of tiktokkers have had this issue but the original channels often overtake the imposter accounts! I wish you all the best because this is absolute genius
It's also funny because we do have a cable in English called banana cables that look like the rainbow one he was holding I think it's been decades since building a PC so I might be wrong but I do know we have banana cables too 😊
Not a expert, but i'm guessing its all in the code. Each fish is sent same audio witch gets processed and there is just code limiting witch parts that particular board does not play. Not sure if there is software around that can do it automatically, but guess its possible by audio analyzing certain sounds. Really dont know much about coding side, witch is why most of my ideas are grounded. I'm more of mechanical engineer than software.
My 12 year old daughter asked for a Billy Big Mouth Bass for Christmas and I couldn't figure out why. She said she saw one on UA-cam. When I asked her which song she would like it to sing, she said "Wellerman". I wasn't familiar with it, so I looked up the song and that's how I found this video. Now I really want a Billy Big Mouth Bass! I am developing a Robotics course for high school students that includes Arduino and I think the students would love this.
Love this so much and love your sincerity and willingness to teach others!! Keep up the great work and if you're ever willing to do more tutorials I'll definitely watch
Your vids are fun man. Good on you for not just thinking about money (trying to sell your content to other people), and instead trying to teach people and spread the fun
Do you have to have the stem files to be able to sync the mouths to individual vocal tracks? i guess if it's alexa playing some song it found, it wouldn't be coming through as a stem file, so i have to wonder what the actuators are triggering on. you can perform a near-real-time FFT on the audio and obtain spectral data on what "notes" are the most pronounced at any given time, but that doesn't work as effectively with sounds that don't have a distinct pitch/harmonics to them like drums, which may introduce some degree of noise in the spectral data.
First of all, I love how you have so many interactive cat toys, the fish for your cat. I bought the goldfish colored one, my male cat likes it, but it's scared of it at the same time. This he'll go up to where y'all smack it, and then he'll run away. 😁 this video, I was dying because I was visually imagining the wall of fish talking and singing in my male cat just pretty much 💩 on himself. This is all I need a simple geeky guy, who likes cats and likes to make average objects do funny things.😹
Dude you should get together with the guy that did something kind of like this with Furby's, he had like 100 of them linked together to all go at once.
Great Video! I would love to do this by my self.... but.. I am to stupid for it. But if you sell this I would take at least 3 of them for a minimum of 70 Dollar per Fish + shipping to germany.
Hey! just found this video, and its amazing. i was wondering, do you need to download any libraries for the arduino code. becouse whenever i verify the code that you had, it came up with some errors. i was thinking it might be because i didnt had the correct library's downloaded.

Is there a potential that the part could be 3d printed? I think that would be super neat
@@RiFirestone Yeah, I know people who do it's just awkward due to how tiny it and shipping etc.
@@gemmyhamstercollection966 Ohhhhh I see, that makes sense!
Well has anyone got a model of one?
@@bluecraney1 ik someone but idk if he'd give it out
Funny thing is that the company behind the fish actually made one that’s compatible with Alexa.
Yeah I mentioned that at the end of the video 😅
Not as responsive though
Not being sold on Amazon anymore. :(
Idea of mine: a voice call in which each participant’s voice connects to a bass
I don't know thats a little fishy
Arts degree: knows Arduino, knows wiring, knows audio wavelength splits, alters existing animatronic
Dam.
I just want to thank you for the clarification on what was and wasn’t a banana because I was having a hard time trying to figure that out myself

1:23 HAHAHAHAHA
i laughed so hard at this, because in México in some parts we call this cables "Bananos" that actually mean "banana"
It's also funny because we do have a cable in English called banana cables that look like the rainbow one he was holding I think it's been decades since building a PC so I might be wrong but I do know we have banana cables too 😊
That’s hilarious I just picked an object at random
Could you give a wiring diagram or show how you hooked multiple fish up to work together?

The cats added a lot to this video. I'd love to see more how-to videos!

Great video but could it maybe be a bit more in depth on the wires? Maybe a closer view and maybe the note coding as well? :)
THANK YOU, i’m happy it came out just before christmas because my cousin wants one like this and now i can make it
Ok, now I want to do this as a Christmas gag!!!
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I never realized how many variations of this fish existed…. This market is wild lol great work Kevin!
Love this so much and love your sincerity and willingness to teach others!! Keep up the great work and if you're ever willing to do more tutorials I'll definitely watch
This gives me hope for the future of humanity.
"It's a singing fish - have fun with it"
Thank you for sharing this how-to and your story! Love it. Can’t wait for my fish wall.
Can I not just buy one already done??? 😭
I hate how UA-cam algorithm doesn't recommend this to more people 😠
Please make something with the Sea of Thieves and singing fishes. You will become the hero of that community
Your vids are fun man. Good on you for not just thinking about money (trying to sell your content to other people), and instead trying to teach people and spread the fun
Ok you are the definition of an underrated god on UA-cam bc only 605 followers?
I am just looking for that "Material Gworl" singing fishes.
🫠
I saw your furby short and honestly I would kill to have a furby talking as my Google home like the fish you had talking as Alexa. 😭
This is so great! Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to try this out one day!
You can sell the fish with the program that turns music into the mouth movements.
You are good and humble person, thanks for the effort
Most underrated channel
This is alot inspiring. Im glad i got to see your channel
Thanks for the clear visuals. LOL
I want this for mother's day. Thank you baby Jesus it's a hillbilly miracle
I'm a fan of yours already!! Wow! That's just genious!
I love seeing a fish in a schematic.
this is how skynet needs to be designed
This is so cool. I love those fish.
what a wholesome guy
i will empty my bank account for the catfish
Im Not Good at these things but I want one Ima try until I get It.

I just found this and it's great
You should get into light-o-rama lights and animatronics
You really should have affiliate links. You deserve commissions for the content
0:00 him just throwing fish at the start 😂 😂😂

this deserves more like and views
He is a humble genius!
I know you're downplaying your skills, but what you have is extremely valuable.
Step Two, you need a Computer Science degree 😭😱🤣👏
Honey, you are so much fun, it's ridiculous! 🤣🤣🤣
Dude we need a 2 hour in details guide that is wel lid.
Your videos are gold man
Y the Heck has this so few likes, this should blow up as your tiktok did!!!!!!
I found your drivers license
*The Gemmy Community wants to know your location*
I want one of these in the living room. 😂
Remember Teddy Ruxpin? Pepperidge Farms Remembers.
Bless you Kevin
I need videos of the fish choir singing full songs, but I dunno if that's possible on UA-cam
Great video! Nice job!
That's one of the coolest things ever
Great job!
Video seems to be in dark mode.
Dude you should get together with the guy that did something kind of like this with Furby's, he had like 100 of them linked together to all go at once.
Thats a scary thought 😹😹😹
I request a video to Bohemian Rhapsody of singing fish.
sick lighting, batman
Can I commission one? Like for real? My dad is a hard person to shop for and a bass singing his favorite Korean songs would be a 10/10 gift.
Yea what is a billy mouth bass?
There’s once a ship and put in the sea
Where's the full video ;-; I wanna see the song to the end
This is really awesome! 😍
What's the process for setting up new songs? Do you have to manually pick which notes sync to which motor movements for each new song?
A bit of light would be good to see...
This is awesome
What's the blue fish on the wall called?
You are amazing!!!!!!!
Great Video! I would love to do this by my self.... but.. I am to stupid for it. But if you sell this I would take at least 3 of them for a minimum of 70 Dollar per Fish + shipping to germany.
No experience, no Problem. If you ruin one fish trying to wire it up, u can always catch more.
Thanks for sharing this info, but I was wondering if you could do a video showing how you setup the software side of this? Thanks!
You have to do Rasputin next
THE BEST!!
Thank you man!
Stop it! My Alexa is listening to you. 😂
Now i want my own singning fish! 🐟👄🐟
I HAVE A BIGMOUTH BILLY BASS
You activated my Alexa lol
I have a great idea to be able to do this with any song using A.I. within seconds.
Anyone interested?
We are working with bad lighting
Yeah, I’m new at this. 😅
so many not banana supplies, where are the banana's? how can I banana this instead?
Hey! just found this video, and its amazing. i was wondering, do you need to download any libraries for the arduino code. becouse whenever i verify the code that you had, it came up with some errors. i was thinking it might be because i didnt had the correct library's downloaded.
also. would it matter if i used a arduino mega 2560 instead of a teensy microcontroller?
U need to improve that lighting in that studio. lol
보니까 원래 저게 버튼 누르거나 사람 지나가면 소리나면서 움직이는 건데 스피커랑 연결해서 생선합창단 만드신듯
This shit rules dude.
Bro you called it “billy mouth bass”,it’s “Big mouth billy bass”
Your are underrated
I love it bro. You think I could make it work with my raspberry pi pico ?
do you mind showing what you did in better lighting
I love the videos mwoth the fish so much
