One of the best tenor of our time. I had the privilege to met him in Las Palmas one moth ago and take a picture with him. He sang the opera Fedora, such a great performance. He is also a very nice guy

A Tenor with movie-star looks and a big, full voice reminiscent of great Tenors of the past like Mario del Monaco, among a few select others. And never let Conductors or whoever tell you not to use your “full voice “, as was the ‘urban legend’ treatment supposedly given to Jerry Hadley. ( Incidentally, when I was studying Music in College from 1977-81, a Mezzo a year older that myself went to the Metropolitan Opera Regional Council auditions in Roanoke, VA-mainland just for the experience, as she was probably only 20. She said that “A voice reaction from “Virginia Tech” ( university) was selected.” And I’m thinking that person was Jerry Hadley… You definitely have a promising and rewarding career ahead of you. I eagerly await to her you in “Turandot”! Best wishes.
Opolais is really lovely, but he is the real deal! A stunning voice and smashing good looks. I just hope he doesn’t burn himself out by singing Otello and Wagner too soon

I was thrilled up until the final line. Why can’t tenors resist the cheap temptation to sing the soprano’s high-C? The tenor should sing the E, as Puccini wrote it. The composer knew best.
Er ist fantastisch aber ich finde sie muss sich mehr zurück nehmen , sie übertönt ihn an manchen Stellen. Ich finde sie ist einfach zu laut und zu wenig Gefühl in der Simme .Sorry meine Meinung
