Kent CNC KVR Series Vertical Machining Center

The KVR Series Vertical Machining Center comes standard loaded with features for out of the box turnkey production machining.
It comes standard with a CAT40 12k RPM spindle that’s artificially limited to 10k RPM to extend the life of its bearings.
It features a true 15HP alpha Fanuc motor which has high torque and can run continuously at peak HP for 30 mins.
The spindle comes pre-plumbed with a high-pressure coolant directly through the spindle.
The high-pressure fitting will accommodate up to 1000 psi coolant through spindle operations.
The coolant through spindle comes with a full set of nozzles to direct the coolant within the machining envelope.
It’s also equipped with air blast fixtures for clearing the chips during tool changing.
The machine is supplied with a chiller that cools the spindle and the spindle motor base as well.
This eliminates potential inaccuracies caused by thermal expansion during machining.
All KVR vertical machining centers come with a 24+1 dual arm side mount automatic tool changer.
The table is Ballscrew driven with servo motor with linear roller guide rails.
This has been proven to be more efficient in today’s machining.
Lighter cuts at higher rates of speed.
In order to achieve our desired structural stability, in addition to the balls on the outside races, we have added rollers on the top of the guides to support the weight of the part and the table itself.
In addition, the ballscrew itself is pretensioned to 30k PSI. Ballscrews begin to get warm when you perform rapid machining.
By pre-stressing the ballscrew, it, instead, relaxes which prevents it from changing its preset dimensions.
The steel way covers provide added protection for more meticulous parts such as razor blades.
We also have the coolant plumbed through a wash system to flush the chips into the chip auger.
Also have a nozzle, to hose down chips that may have been stuck in different areas during machining.
The chip auger pulls chips out either side of the machine. This also comes standard.
A drag/belt-type chip conveyor is also available as an option that allows you to move chips more efficiently into a 55-gallon drum at the side of the machine.
The KVR Series Machining Center comes with dual interior LED work lights that are protected from flying chips.
The KVR series comes with a Full enclosure splash guard with an open top. This makes it easier to load and unload heavier parts that may require a crane or a forklift.
Both sides of the machines are designed with wide sliding doors. Besides giving you more viewing angles, these allow you to load in parts that may be too long to fit through the front door.
The electrical cabinet in the back has dual cooling fans.
