Agreed so much here. Dead or Alive 5's vanilla soundtract was the weakest soundtrack in the series I think lol.
Decadent Gamer I mean, they just re-used DoA 4's OST, so it's more of an issue with that game. But even then, I feel like 4 had the best OST in the entire series. It just feels more like a fighting game

Won’t lie after all this time I still adore her theme and it’s one of my favs sure buuuuuut I’m kinda sad that they didn’t take her theme song in an even darker direction for that mysterious and not what it seems side to her.
I honestly think something like the DOA5 Blood tie remix, Helena’s doa2 track or maybe Christie’s Monster track from 3 but with more classical instruments and sounds instead would be a far more cooler way to theme this character.
Regardless though the vampire masquerade, dark regality theming for her sound isn’t bad at all it’s fun and pleasing to the ears.
10/10 from all gothic lolita’s and historians alike oh and castlevania fans lol.

Sometimes I feel weird for having Marie Rose as my favorite character since she's the only character of her kind.
But I don't care, when this is her theme and she can do tornado kicks I think its more than justified.

So I've been absent from DoA franchise ever since I was a teenager.
Mostly because I've no computer that can support playing the franchise.
But when I've got a gaming computer, DoA5U was the first DoA I've come back to.
I do know that DoA franchise is a franchise with full of fan-service.
But how ironic is it that when I come back to DoA after sooooo long that my Main will be this petite little girl inside a game with full of fan-services.
Anything before Doa5 is great, doa5 is okay they pushed for more costumes and stuff before fixing the game and characters, doa6 is just...bad kind of
But even if you like 5 or 6 pc is not the place to play them if you like playing online that is

I'm glad that, for all the fan service DOA makes, every character has its own personality and an effective fighting style. Although said style may still be a bit parodic at time, it's taken seriously in universe.
I usually main Mila, whose swift blows, cancellable combo, and unpredictable throws are just my thing, but I'm considering learning to master Marie Rose after handling her a bit. She seems interesting.
Hmm I've always liked the martial arts part of the games especially the counter animations I'm a little sad that they took away tag team though couch coop is always good butttt I use to play with Mila never got into Marie but Ayane is someone who has really good looking combos
@@DeoxK Ha she twirls too much, I feel less in control and more like throwing a fidget at my opponent. Not that I should say that since Marie Rose has two twirls she can use for dodge and counter.
Speaking of which, the counter, well the whole triangle system, it really makes DOA a great fighting game. And countering your opponent is sooooo satisfying! While a bit outlandish at times, I really like the moves they come up with. Those who says people only plays DOA for the fan service are either ignorant or looking for an easy joke. Or looking to tease us, little bastards, yes everyone is super sexy, and yes I love it.
Momiji is another of my favorite though, she handles zoning very well and her double jumps are *deadly* . And she has a good attitude, and a kickass musical theme :p.

Costume-wise, my preferences goes toward tomboyish ones. The male costumes aren't very interesting, except a few very, very sexy ones and some impressive skins for Hayabusa taken right from Ninja Gaiden. I'm a simple man, I see a woman in ripped jeans with jacket, I upvote :p

Deox I speak of the remix that came with the Version 1.05 update. If you look in the music section, you should spot it between the "Ghouls' Ball" and "Repetition" ("Blood Tie - DOA5 Ultimate mix -"). It is the stage BGM for the regular Lorelei.

Very late but yeah it’s HEAVY vampire theming all around with her even her fashion style is lolita which took inspiration from Rocco and Edwardian fashion just an overall dark regality theme.
