    Good video, I can remember when my Grand-paw had his service station way back in the 1950’s and someone would come in with a flat tire and if they had a tube made of RED Rubber he would replace it just to get the tube made of red rubber for slingshots he made on the side.

      Yes, the modern slingshot latex has came a long way since then!

    just found this series/channel this week and though its been on the 'Tube' for a few years now, I have been learning bucket loads every time I open the channel up. I hope you are still updating and continue to put out these great informational pieces.

    Thank you for all of the helpful information in these videos. I've been shooting the clay bands that come by default with all of your slingshots. I've probably shot about 400-600 shots in the last two weeks at a 4x elongation. I noticed striations in the bands fairly early on. I'm curious as to whether this is a natural occurrence, or if my form/release has something to do with the striations.
    I am also loving the Scout LT2 (my first slingshot). Thank you!

      Striations in latex bands are totally normal! They're actually a sign that the band is being used properly. 😊

    My grate uncle was on tv because he was so good with a slingshot, but he used lineman gloves for his slingshot rubbers. I can not get a hold of that type of glove to make the strips anymore. What would be close to it?

    So it's been a while since your black latex came out, what are the feedbacks ? If it performs as good as the natural latex and is UV resistant, doesn't it make it the best material out there ? I mean better than TB Gold ? I just broke my last set of TB, and I'm looking forward to buy something new (we don't have much choice here in France)
    Thanks in advance for your answers :)

      TBG is great. There's no question. But we would indeed say that our black is superior to TBG. :)
      We've gotten plenty of positive feedback on it. 5-star average review: simple-shot.com/diy/simpleshot-black-latex/

      SimpleShot Shooting Sports Wouldn't you consider a partnership with some european retailer (like Joerg idk) for your black latex ? I really want to try it out but the shipping costs are just too much, and I'm sure a lot of people are in my case in Europe... I think you might be missing a market opportunity here !

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  7 років тому +2

      We totally understand. We hate that international shipping.
      You can buy from our friends here - www.proshotcatapults.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=85&page=2 - from the UK!

    Where can you purchase pure amber latex?

      Not certain as it is hard to find due to covid.

    Theoretically How fast can you get latex to fire a projectile ? ..what velocities can be achieved please?

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  3 роки тому

      It depends on the ammo but myself personally (this is Adam responding) have broke 500fps with 1/4" steel ammo and semi butterfly. I have broke 400fps with 3/8" steel ammo and semi butterfly. This is severely over-banded and does not go over 100 shots per set. I do not know what can be done at full butterfly. The longer the draw the more speed can be produced.

    • @danielgreen3715
      @danielgreen3715 3 роки тому

      @@simpleshot Thats incredible! ...i dont shoot Butterfly but understand that the longer the distance is the faster the shott should travel ..but 400 is a really impressive speed!

    Hello sir, just ordered a slingshot that I think might do for me. I ordered the
    Professional Stainless Steel Slingshot, LANREN High Velocity Catapult Powerful Hunting Sling Shot with Wrist Support and Quality Rubber
    from amazon
    I just seen your show now looking for tips to save ammo.
    I wonder if you might have some advice for someone new to the game. I am also hunting grouse and rabbit if possible and in cold cold weather.

    Sir i want most powerful slingshot rubber tubes please please please give me

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  3 роки тому

      The most powerful tubes are found on big box store slingshots or on the rubbish sold on Amazon. Those tubes are so strong you'll be shaking like a leaf trying to pull them back and won't be able to hit a thing!
      If you are looking for velocity, don't look for the most powerful rubber, look for the best tuned bands. The simple tubes we sell shoot like lightning but don't have an outrageous draw weight!
