I bought the MAX version. It is really amazing! Sounds so real. One slight minor detail: if you get a preset from your friend or so you can’t drag and drop in in A5. You have to copy the preset to a folder in the IK folders. But I am very happy with A5. A huge step forwards compared with A4 imo.
A5 sounds great but using it with the irig stomp io leaves much to be desired. When using a PC. In the correct mode. All the functions are not there. The looper does not work, when in live mode the preset bar stays only in the first bank, you can bank up on the pedal but the screen does not change showing your first four presets all the time. The tuner does not work from the pedal either. All these functions and others work perfectly with the ipad and amplitube 4. Amp 5 is not out for the ipad. So if you're considering an irg stomp, beware.
Been using AT about 10 years, since v3. Of course, it depends on the musical style you record, but I've had some exceptional results doing '60s instrumental backing tracks', using an putting a Hammond sim, through an AC30/Leslie Cab model. Also get incredibly authentic '60s bass tones using an AC30 pre with the power section set to the 50W single end and a 1x15 cab. Still using AT4, at the mo. Was wondering if v5 still allows the messing about with the power amp/valve configuration?
I think AmpliTube 5 will probably be enough. The best thing to do is probably to look through the equipment list on their website to decide. You can also buy extras if you want to
@ lmfao it was bugging the hell out of me cuz I knew it but couldn’t figure it out. My mom had the csssette single when I was a kid but hadn’t heard it since then probably. Thanks for the quick reply!
I've just had a look for it and it looks like it came across from AmpliTube 4 in the Jimi Hendrix presets. I've put it in dropbox if you'd like it www.dropbox.com/s/qxiurgfw8bwivul/The%20Crunch%20BT.at4p?dl=0
My first venture into amp modeling was the free Guitar Rig 6 and I didn't like it at all. The other day I found out about this Amplitube 5 so I first tried the free version...wow does it sound soooo much better that that free gRig6...Safe to say I ordered Amplitube 5 Max today, yay :) Sweetwater has a deal going on right now to buy an Axe I/O + Amplitube 5 Max...for the same price of just A5max...that's a free Axe I/O...yay! (no affiliations, just passing on a great deal)
@@Chromeboy2003 hiya, no i don't have the Axe I/O yet (i ordered it with the A5max), i have a Behringer UMC404HD interface I use, i like it a lot too :)
@@Chromeboy2003 welcome...yeah I think any interface (or mixer with usb to pc) would work, the software doesn't really care where the signal comes from, you can even run other instruments , or pre-recorded tracks through the A5(max)

Just discovered this type of software.
Man. I feel like I have just walked out of the stone age into the future.
Why haven't I used these before
I love this type of software, it’s a lot of fun to play around with and is perfect for recording
Just got amputube 5 max today thank you so much for this review

Nice review. In the process now of getting familiar with features and navigation of 5 Max.
Thanks. The new features are great, the more I’ve used it the easier I find the new interface 😄
Thank you for just getting right to it. Awesome review! That flaming guy on the other review was so freaking annoying.
Can you please explain or make a video about how to operate AmpliTube 5 through Logic Pro X, if you already haven’t. I’m new to all this. Thanks!
Thanks for the great review! Do you have an opinion on if Amplitube 5 is enough for most people or should one choose MAX?

What’s the riff at 6:41 ???
😂 of all the riffs to ask about! That’s ’Ooh, ah, just a little bit’ by Gina G

I’ve not upgraded mine as I started with max but I think it just unlocks stuff
Addition: I like your preset The Crunch BT but I can't find it. Is this your own preset?

When you tried the free version, did you already have the Axe I/Ó? Just wondering how you connected guitar to pc/laptop

@@katiepaine Thanks for the reply. Cool, so most interfaces should work. I have a M-Audio interface. Will check out the free version for sure. Cheers.
