Fun fact about the Somali Flag: it is inspired by the flag and colors of the United Nations' flag. This is bacause of a recognition to that body to assure peace within the region. It is a similar story for the display of Bosnia and Herzegovina's, which is inspired by the European Union's flag.

Italy Somalia 🇮🇹 Wars Ethiopia 🇪🇹 First of WWII
I know you were joking, but just to make the point: there's no way the Mongols could have taken over Africa. Their horses would have died in that climate, and the malaria would have wiped out the men.
Get's a package from the UK. Me as a English Brit "Yes!" Only ends up sending the Scottish flag out of unlogical bias. Me - "Damn it!"
I can't believe this is a few minutes ago
I really like the Somalia episode that was the first time that I see a video upload on geography now
Very great @Geography Now
Fun fact about the Somali Flag: it is inspired by the flag and colors of the United Nations' flag. This is bacause of a recognition to that body to assure peace within the region. It is a similar story for the display of Bosnia and Herzegovina's, which is inspired by the European Union's flag.
The United Nations also contributed a lot to the Somali livelihood and even built the university of Mogadishu which has very close ties to the one in Cairo!
This is a balatant lie. The UN has done nothing for us and the flag theme is defined by unity under one sky plus the 5 Somali region (precolonial)
@@Araweelo I guess it's a pretty interesting coincidence that Somalia chose the exact same shade of blue as the UN flag
Yay
You guys get the coolest perks ever!

Hey Paul.
It's Simon with Danish Postcard!
Nice that you recieved it so fast! I think I send it not even a week ago.
I just wanted to say so for the spelling. It's hard when you're dyslexic and also have to write in another language. But thank you for taking the time to read my postcard, and I hope that Bornholm will one day get the recognition that it deserves. It's a beautiful place and depends a lot on tourism, so struggles a lot these days.
I hope one day I'll get probably in contact with you, because of you're knowledge of the world. I have a plan of traveling the world myself.
Sincerely
Simon

1:16 It's not "Cristobal De Gama" (Cristobal is Spanish...). It's "Cristóvão da Gama".
So this would be like calling the former President of the US, Jorge Bush
