Solid...we've needed this.
Just bend the pistons by pulling them back gently ...Will then snag in the cylinder and hold the hatch up 😀

You forgot to say don't Mar or Heavily Scratch the interior hard plastic pieces when threading in & tighten down the fresh hatch ball stud's, letting things slip I see, well I'm here to remind you to remind us. How come you never tapped over the wrench or said hard plastic pieces in the first place you could have scratched the surface by default.
they did mention it on removal, just not installation
