Had to play catch up on the videos. One day I hope to fly one I built. Bucket list. I just got out of the Burn Unit today, life’s short and I have a long list.
The Ultracruiser has a G rating of 4. I don't know for sure if that's positive and negative. Usually the negative G rating is less. Either way it makes a strong wing. Thanks for the comment
When I bought the brake the fingers were very sharp with no radius. I rounded them a little so they don't dig into the aluminum. I mostly adjust the bend radius with the gap between the bending arm and the fingers.
How difficult would it be to buidl the airframe without a box and pan brake( no seperate fingers)? I could build a a straight brake but don't currently have the funds to buy a box and pan brake. Thanks for any help!
I think you would be fine with a straight brake. I just bought the box and pan so I could use it on other projects. I haven't had any need to move the fingers for the Ultracruiser.
You Don’t use a kick shrinker on structural aircraft parts. Better learn what you’re doing before showing others the wrong way and someone gets hurt or killed.

I know it depends on spars and overall build aswell, but roughly how many G's could these type of ribs handle? Great video, thanks.

Welcome!
Cool! Can you show what you’re doing with deburring?
Sure. I'll post a short video for you tomorrow.
Just ran across your video. Can you tell me what your brand your shrinker and expander are? Couldn't get a good look at them.
Central Machinery from Harbor Freight.
What kind of radius do you have on your bending brake? A 1/8" radious or any ?

Thanks! It's all 6061 T6. The front and rear vertical pieces are .020" and the rest is .016".
