I've struggled to appreciate her the way she deserves to be appreciated...until now. WOW. I mean, I could tell she has a great voice but I guess there were so many things that distracted me from being able to focus on it. I absolutely love her look, her vibe, and her voice here: so pure, so innocent, so simple but still with an old soul quality to it. I wish she would return to this. Just strip everything bare. She writes her music raw with her acoustic all the time and this is the natural way she sings. (Of course the background harmony/ad-libs are pre recorded and there’s some reverb/echo effect on her mic) Some singers have the lung capacity and practice their material constantly so they don’t have to open their mouths super wide to sing from their diaphragm.
SMH...I’ve never seen her with all of that stuff until I discovered this video. While I wouldn’t call her ugly (how she looks now), I never found her attractive. I was blown away when I saw her in this video. Beautiful AF!
