Alonso got Pedro a job at Ferrari after his year racing with HRT.
He also worked together at McLaren 2007
They are close since 2007
@@JohnFromAccountingbefore that Pedro was at McLaren when Fernando went there and for sure Pedro helped with that, so they have been helping each other through the years as friends. The same with Carlos Sainz, Marc Gené...spaniards helping each other in the formula 1 world

Pedro was a great driver, not a world class of course, but better than the results he got. He deserved a win in F1, more podiums and specially better cars.
And he still holds the lap record in Bahrain, since 2005.
It's a recurring joke in the TV broadcasts every year during the QF sessions 😄
