I cried watching this, it's so beautiful. 😭❤ I love to see them dance. I'm Cree, Blackfoot, Choctaw and Seminal and currently learning pow dance moves. Dancing is in my blood and I want to please my ancestors.
Just beautiful, I don't belong unfortunately to non community, my family are Arabians living in Mexico, but I'm able to recognize the beauty of each men's community
FROM AUSTRALIA, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. LOVE AMERICAN INDIAN PEOPLE AND CULTURE. FABULOUS OUTFITS AND SO MUCH WORK INTO THEM. KEEP UP YOUR HISTORY AND CULTURE. THANKS FOR POST.
They all dance great. Also all costumes look amazing. But i really enjoyed watching old ones dancing at 3:15 and i love that their costume look more natural in colors.
A "costume" is something you put on only once a year like a Halloween costume. These are not the same it's a way of life we dont put the on once a year and for get about them for the next year or so. We grow up with these teachings learning them from the time we were knee high to a grasshopper. We prefer to call it regalia not trying to be rude just trying to inform the uninformed.
A costume is clothing you wear to portray a character. What these dancers wear is called regalia. REGALIA has cultural significance from the colors to the designs.
😂 SO CUTE THE GREEN OUTFITS SLAY IT, BEST DAD AND DAUGHTER SHOW, SO SWEET I ALMOST TEARED UP. Also the elder native americans are a cute couple. I love this so much.
powwows.com website & Facebook will have a national listing of public powwows when Coronavirus is defeated. Right now, you can check the annual recurring locations that work for you.

Kiaora to the 1st nations indeginous native American people, much love & respect from your indeginous native Maori brother from Aotearoa, NZ. My heart is filled with joy & love to see your traditional culture is well & truly alive going forward into the future. I love the traditional dance. We as indeginous people know with out our culture & our language we are dead & doomed. But through all our struggles & our true history the Westernized culture tried to keep us down & to go as far as trying to anilate us people. But we came through all that adversity with our pride & mana intact. Kia kaha BLM & INALM (Indeginous Native American Lives Matter) also. One day we will celebrate together when all indeginous people will be united & have our autonomy. Much love & respect.
THE DIGNITY OF THE TRADITIONAL ELDER FATHER AND MATURE DAUGHTER ARE THE STRONGEST PAIR; ALL DANCERS ARE WINNERS. BLESS YOU ALL WITH MUCH LOVE FROM ENGLAND XXXXXXXX
Love watching these videos they do my heart good i am native but my german father raised me to take on the world as one them somedays i wish i knew how to dance like that.
This is beautiful but hard to watch. My dad has sadly passed away on the Osage Rezovation. I wasnt there to say goodbye or hug him. He was very sick and drank alot. His brother Jack Jr, my mom, Cora Hickey, and me his only child. Are sad.
I too had an alcoholic fatherseeing the dance makes me sad but at the same time I'm grateful this little girl had a chance to dance with her daddy this is truly a beautiful image
@@chrisc4427 Thank you. I am getting through it and I got my dad's headstone with two things he loved. Harley Davis and the American Indian movement symbol.
I'm so glad they keep this alive and well it was such a great way of life in the old days didn't money just needed to be left alone and not steal their land!!!

every time they do a father and daughter dance I get sad because my dad passed away when I was five and I miss him very much . and my dads birthday is coming up and it would be 6 years of him being gone
So wonderfull to see the Pow Pow. I am from the Netherlands. And I feel so many respect for the REAL American people. The warmth I feel in my heart to yours. I feel ashamed bout the American white suprematic conquerers who token your land away from you. They will never find peace and rest for civilisation the land you belong. As a child I remembered Wounded Knee. May there comes a time that your homeland will be yours again. May God bless you all. Best regards from The Netherlands.

Yes, most powwows invite respectful non-Natives as spectators. The powwows feature vendors of food, jewelry, art, flutes, drums, CD's of Native artists, etc. Most do not charge admission, unless the venue has high fees.
