  • For Episode 048 Maloney sits down for a rare recorded interview with Rapper / Producer Tornts, undoubtably one of Australia's most respected individuals in the Aussie hiphop landscape.
Tornts represents the badlands of Melbourne, Australia and was the first artist to be signed to underground and highly respected label Broken Tooth Entertainment in late 2002. A producer and rapper, he is one of the founding members of the Hired Goons crew. He has featured on and worked with the most respected names in the Australian hip-hop scene, either on production, verses or live shows.
Tornts unique style is infamous for it’s raw aggressive style and delivery, with lyrics that are filled with descriptive imagery and real life accounts of urban decay, twisted visions and stories of city life, as well as annihilating other spitters with some sick bars.

Was always a fan of tornts, lots of people sort of slept on him i think but I had a few of his earlier albums, dead brain diaries and decimation recordings were so raw and gritty i loved it.
He also seems like a genuine person
    Much respect

    The Rap Beast Nomad!
Ahh this is about the third interview I've seen that Tornts talks about being from England and the amount of people I have to remind that all say nah he was born in Tassie after showing the interviews 😂 hopefully it sticks now, good to know someone's actual history, I reckon this is a dope interview and should run up the views.
Loving T beats, almost linked a year or 2 ago, he definitely gets back to you and when I was talking to him he was encouraging for my "Tracksuit Charlie" idea.
Got all his joints except boozed bastards and my fav Life death truth OG.
Love his No scratching policy because it adds to how original his music is, there's just something so dope about such a completed style being so versatile with the art and sound from track to track.
This man knows how to value the art, be original and give his listeners the raw Tornts smashing any kind of steez.
Should call him the box cutter cause he ain't staying in no box for no comfort 🔥👊
    Cheers for this Interview!

I've been relistening to "Hit Never Miss" nearly every day now and had the though to look for an interview of the ma behind the legend! That was a really important song in my childhood growing up in rough areas of Sydney!

Wicked interview with Tornts for I love how he represents the raw grittiness of Melbourne. Definitely relate to it as I used to chill in “Sin Kilda” back in the days and would love to see Maloney get the AKA Brothers on.
