Remember hearing Melbourne Madness on PBS in 98 or 99, totally blew my mind. Started penning raps shortly after that and was on the Formula shortly after that. Thanks for the inspiration Bias! Was a great time.
A lot of us 70's & 80's kid's would agree with B, when talking about the change in our Aus scene.. For me it was with Hilltops Left foot Right foot, it was a totally different sound & direction to their previous A Matter of Time release. I was soo disappointed I snapped the CD 😂 I specifically remember crew that stopped listening to anything out of obese, it was 750 rebels, unkut & nuffsaid or U.S. & U.K.
I bought a copy of Beezwax from OB's in late '98 (it had possibly changed to obese by then) - from "the man himself" - i didnt know it was Bias selling it to me (no internet, but it was), I just told him how frikken awesome it was for 5 minutes, and bounced out. The comments on The Formula and Revolver really took me back to Melbournes golden era. Massive thanks for your contribution 👍👍
Cheers from across the Pacific in Los Angeles 🌴, Maloney. Tracking down the AKA Brothers would be epic as would be a Brad Strut or I know he isn’t Burn City, but Lazy Grey would be massively appreciated.
@@3000podcast Completely goes without saying, I'm a massive supporter of the channel and being a proud Melburnian myself from "3130" (Born in Box Hill) it's brilliant to see the artists, etc. you're bringing on and that I learn stuff all the time for example: I didn't know that Jeans of Pirate Mafia was from the Box Hill area. Keep powering along as I sincerely look forward to each episode.
@@3000podcast That’s a shame. I guess interviews from any of Melbourne’s best crews would be sick! WCA, DMA, KSA, PBP, C.I, RDC, TSF, AFP, FMC, CKA, MOS

Interviews with Prowla, Mesk, Jaws, Jayme, Dens, Puz, Sirum, Inpak etc would be awesome! Keep up the good work bro. Cheers 🍻
I’ve asked a few on this list before none of them are keen at this stage

Bias talking about faster shit... Osinaka's "Swallow This Pride" from 2000 was ahead of it's time.
When are kharni and mus coming on the pod? Need to hear a chat with the PS lads
Belive me I’ve asked them, they are hands down the most requested but I guess they’re to keen at this stage.

With all the talk about Obese Records, how about tracking down Pegz or Oli Bobbitt himself.
In bed with bias changed my life path. Music does influence life. Cmon back to briz for that show buddy. ✌️
Get Pegz or even better Oli Bobbitt who started OB’s.
Both are no longer in Victoria to the best of my knowledge, maybe one day
