IMO, she isn’t an icon. She’s done many immature and bad things, not to mention she almost never faces any consequences. She’s also a creepy stalker. But if you like her then that’s fine.

U realize most of ur comment also applies to Chloe right? Chloe isn’t a stalker, but she’s definitely immature and has done many awful things. She bullies ppl and laughs at them. She stole Marinette’s hat design and ruined Marinette’s gift for Ms. Bustier. She ripped up Rose’s letter to Prince Ali and laughed right in front of her. She’s caused several ppl to lose their jobs. She literally almost caused Marinette to drown. She almost never apologizes (Marinette almost always apologizes to ppl when she hurts them), and she almost never faced any consequences either bc her dearest daddy is the mayor so nobody could get her in trouble. She only faced true consequences in Confrontation and Revolution. Marinette has faced consequences when she has to fight villains she unintentionally caused. Marinette has done lots of bad things too but she’s no bully, and she’s certainly not a worse person than Chloe. Chloe is a terrible person yet ppl idolize her just bc she’s entertaining and funny sometimes, and so many ppl say she’s still a good person for some reason. And her mom abandoning her is no excuse for her behavior (and yes ik the events that happened in Derision r no excuse for Marinette’s creepy behavior either), even Mylene said that in Derision and Mylene said her mom abandoned her too, yet she’s a kind person. But hey if ppl like Chloe it’s fine (u see how that sentence sounds ingenuine? That’s how ur comment sounds and the other person’s too). Ik all the Chloe stans r probably gonna come after me for this comment, especially considering this channel is a Chloe fanbase, but honestly idc.
@@merfairy524 Let me be clear when I say I USED to like Chloe. Chloe was a great character up until S3 finale. Yes, even before season 3 finale, Chloe did a lot of bad things. But was actually FOR A REASON. Marinette has literally broken into house and stolen phones, all because of a boy?? Chloe has done bad things because she doesn’t get any attention from her mother and her class doesn’t like her. Chloe faced consequences but in a different way. When she did bad things she was usually caught and that made the class hate her. When she copied Marinette’s hat, she got caught, didn’t she? And guess what, she didn’t win! She ruined Marinette’s present for Ms. Bustier, but she also got caught and learned from her mistakes. Everything after S3 finale that concerns Chloe no longer concerns me. Chloe’s character sucks now, but she was way better written than Marinette before S3 finale.
@@KaelyWaely I agree Marinette definitely did bad things, but at least she was never a bully. Also, the only reason why Marinette stole Adrien’s phone was to delete an embarrassing message she accidentally left on it and she gave it right back, but I agree it was still bad, and yeah there’s no excuse for the breaking into Adrien’s room. Chloe was always a bully, and that’s why nobody in the class likes her. Even Adrien told her to be nicer but she always went back to being a bully. I recall Marinette and the class throwing her a party in one episode and she still went back to being a bully, so it’s not like nobody tried to reach out to her. If she was a nicer person, the class wouldn’t hate her. And yeah she got caught for the hat thing but she never apologized. She never apologized for ruining Marinette’s gift either. Also there were times that she should’ve got detention or even suspended, but she didn’t bc her dad’s the mayor. Her mom abandoning her and not giving her attention is no excuse for being a bully. Like I said in the last comment, Mylene said in Derision her mom also abandoned her but she’s still a kind person. Parental issues r no excuse for being terrible to others.
@@merfairy524 I’m not saying it’s an excuse, I’m saying it’s a reason. Her mom not giving her attention is the reason she does those bad things. Like Ms. Bustier said in Zombiezou, if the classmates set a good example, maybe Chloe will follow. Chloe going from nice to mean is just the bad writing. Chloe’s arc wasn’t very consistent.
Honestly I wouldn’t call her an icon. Considering the horrible things she did. The list is long. But you know. If you like this character. Whateves. It’s cool.
If u feel that way, why did u watch the video? And if u hate the main character so much then why do u watch the show? Literally u ppl who have so much hate for Marinette have no reason to complain bc nobody is forcing u to watch the show. U choose to watch it even though u hate the main character, and that literally makes no sense.
@@merfairy524what. The comment section is a place to share your opinions on the video. Which is what this person is doing. You can still watch the show and not like the character, they just said they didn’t like Marinette, they didn’t say they didn’t like the show.
@@KaelyWaely Exactly, so I can state my opinions too. The main character is mostly the focus of a show, so it makes no sense to me why anyone would watch a show if they hate the main character.
@@merfairy524 I’m not saying you don’t have the right to say this. I’m saying they have the right to state their opinion, you telling them they don’t is untrue. I disagree with your opinion. Some people don’t watch a show because they don’t like the MC, but even if you don’t like the MC, you’re still allowed to watch the show and enjoy it. There are other characters in a show, and this person may enjoy those other characters.
@@KaelyWaely You’d be correct. My favorite characters are Adrien, Kagami, Chloe, Felix, Plagg, Duusu and Emilie. Still wish we had gotten to know more about Emilie. But I’m just glad she finally has a canon voice.
