Mate, you really have a video unboxing this same Nike Sense studs and you said that "they work really well and the only reason for the outstanding grip on these shoes is the Nike sense studs" whom should we believe??
Back when I played it was mostly on turf fields and the obra 1 was the best pair of boots I ever owned. I loved the feeling of the boot starting on the ankle as opposed to at the foot, and keeping those sharp little rubber razor blades out of my shoes was so nice. Beyond just the amazing feel and comfort I got from these. All time fav boot for me
Josh likes zipper better than laceless Come on laceless boots dont use laces They wont use sr4u laces wich increases perfomence by 50% Zipper still use laces
Hey Jazzman Jimjams, I have a question. Because you probably go to outlets often and find many great deals, would you ever consider buying cleats for people less fortunate to having access to these deals and having them pay you in turn for you buying and sending the cleats to them? As in, someone tells you their shoe size and what cleat they are looking for, and if you happen to run across it for a good deal, you message them about it and they either accept or reject it based on the price
I think a cool top 5 video to make would be top 5 boot technologies you would like to see more of. One for example would be FG/AG boots. Definitely a market for that, especially in US.
I never got blisters from my Magista Obra 1s 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ And I actually liked the SENSE studs ....maybe it didn’t do what It was advertised to do but I felt like the traction was better with it and stud pressure was very low
Hey Josh... Few words about Sense studs. Put the insole out of the shoe and press that area of the sense stud with your finger. It actually works, but from the performance standpoint, it's almost useless
Useful and cool boot tech you can buy: sr4u laces. The reflective ones sparkle the opponent just a bit so that they react that bit slower. The ones with different designs do the same effect by getting the opponent surprised or confused. Maybe Higuain should wear them.
Josh I think you forgot to mention the Adidas Predator Pulse. Well at least I thought that adding weight to compete with boots that got lighter every year was a bit “useless.”
Did it realistically add power to your shot, probably not, but did make for a legitimate difference in feel, yes. Very close to useless, but not quite completely useless.
The one with a circle in the back spike may help by giving you a hook style spike where it could help you hook to the ground when you need to stop on a dime and go the opposite direction. Although, you could get stuck in the turf and maybe have a higher chance tearing a ligament🤷♂️
You should sell wide rubber or elastic bands for laceless boots. Imagine an inch wide rubber band compressing your mid-foot comfortably, could be colored or branded. A rubber band a millimeter or two thick might even add predator like grip to the boot. A truly performance enhancing product.
The carbon fibre sole plates actually add spring to the boots. That's why basketball players and many football players have have carbon fibre sole inserts to give more spring to the boot.
Not all carbon is equal. There are custom insoles and implementations of Carbon that can provide that spring back effect, but in the case of these Nike soleplates, the amount of energy return was minimal, mainly because there just wasn't much actual carbon to them.
Yo, I say at my soccer practice, "Yo, you got them Superflies" *Picks the boot up* proceeds to read it"No it's a Mer-cure-E-all" I'm like "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" I was like "You're done retire right now, please."
I wouldn’t consider sock boots useless. When I wear them I feel they fit tighter and more secure. My foot has never slipped out of my sock boots whereas it has or almost has in normal ones. I’d say it slightly affects performance in that it’s one thing less to distract your focus from the match knowing that your feet are fully secure
I don’t know how I’ve stumbled upon this video as I don’t play soccer, but Carbon fibre can be very useful. This is due to it having the ability to return every while running.
I saw this page that posts custom pro boots and there were some Magista Opus for John Stones and the first comment was literally "he doesn't wear ACC boots!!!???"
My superflys did not help my ankle when I rolled it during a game the sock part on my ankle ripped 😂 well they were pretty worn out but r.i.p my ankle cuz man that hurrrrrt uwu
I will forever stand by lace covers. Are they convenient? No. Can you replace them? No, not really. Do they actually make for a better shooting surface? Maybe. Does the one on the Vapor 4 looks absolutely awesome? Yes
Yo, can you talk about why Adidas doesn't just produce and sell to the public the same version of the Nemeziz as Messi wears. Like, if he doesn't like the normal ones and has to have them custom made then why wouldn't the general public like them more that way?
1. Because most people don't even know that Messi's version is different in the first place. 2. Even if they did make that change, it very likely would not drive any more sales. 3. The first two reasons were pretty solid but I figured I would include a third.
So much Nike! Ha, what about the Predator in 06 and 07? I don't think the weighted forefoot insole in the Absolute did anything but put pressure in the middle of your foot. And the Powerswerve had some kind of metal powder inside the forefoot insole, wtf is that supposed to do? Don't get me started on the Twist and Go from Lotto...
The claim/implication of "more power" is definitely misleading, but the actual function of a striking element in regards to the feel and extra grip that it provides isn't useless in my opinion. But I do get what you're saying.
Wasn't there some diadoras back in 2008 or so that had some twistable stud that would do something? lol i think totti would wear them. I might have the old eurosport catalog somewhere
Lace covers dont give a cleaner touch fosho, but it does prevent laces coming undone which is the bane of my existence while playing in wet conditions, so won’t call them exactly useless
Does anybody remember the old Predators that had some sort of weight on the sole of the boot that would slide forward as you kicked the ball to ‘increase power’ ... can’t find them anywhere! Now they were cool but useless
i wouldnt say lace cover is useless, because on models like the phantom vsn u can tuck ur laces in them, and dont have to worry about them becoming untied and potennially triping up on them
For number 5, it might be useless but that's not the only reason behind it, if you check all the video commercials for this boots you will see that nike claims that those round studs surrounded by a sort of channel/canal allows you to turn by twisting without clogging into the grass.
Don’t you dare hate on ACC, Jengus Jenkinson. I was born with ACC hair, arms, and legs. It improves my performance drastically on the pitch.
SHOWTIME 21 NSG FTW
Wheredo you get an ACC from?
This dude puts down ACC as if it does nothing.😤😤😤 Little does he know that Aquaman's lungs are coated in ACC.
With ACC comes great responsibility.

i think acc is not a coating or stuff like that, i think is a way to say that the boots can work in any conditions
Totally agree. It's probably just like a "certification" from Nike saying it can control the ball in all conditions
Ankle sock technology is an absolute god send for people who play 5-a-side on Astroturf! So glad you mentioned it!
Carbon fiber on the new sole plate design that Nike uses for the mercurial vapor and superfly’s would look pretty 🔥
Ok listen up Luke Skywalker, ACC boots have helped my arm hairs throughout the years. Never disrespect them again.
The one with a circle in the back spike may help by giving you a hook style spike where it could help you hook to the ground when you need to stop on a dime and go the opposite direction. Although, you could get stuck in the turf and maybe have a higher chance tearing a ligament🤷♂️

Definitely make a sequel to this one! You forgot the Adidas Nitrocharge energy sling thing. Did absolutely nothing.
For some reason I find I strike the ball so much better with the cover on my vapor vi’s rather than my vapor x’s I’m probably imagining it but
The hollow studs might work on turf.
So basically just ACC and the Zipper
