At 9:07, the dependent variables were inserted in the "Within Subjects Variables (Genre,Difficulty)" box in an incorrect order. It should've been: Conversation_Easy (1,1); Conversation_Difficult (1,2); Academic_Easy (2,1); Academic_Difficult (2,2). Because "Conversation" and "Academic" are levels 1 and 2 of "Genre" respectively, and "Easy" and "Difficult" are levels 1 and 2 of "Difficulty" respectively. While the video is helpful in explaining how to run a 2-Way Repeated Measures ANOVA in SPSS, we need to be cautious interpreting the results in this video due to this error.
Thank you Dr. Aryadoust for the video. I understand that without a between-subjects factor SPSS will not activate any of the post-hoc tests, however I'm wondering what is reason for this? Is post-hoc test only for between-subjects? (I thought for within-subjects should also have post-hoc..)
