    I failed to call out the 4th component of conditioning is PACE/INTENSITY. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (Sorry, must be pregnancy brain!) It’s in the chart I show and I talk about it briefly. Increasing our pace with brief trotting or loping sprints helped make the same old trails more fun. I played around with pace later on when he was in better shape and we were more familiar with the trail (terrain, typical traffic, blind corners, etc.)

    yes! please a short video on Alltrails would be so helpful🥰 your videos have been helping me get more into trail riding and you explain everything so well. I can't wait to experience trail riding with my filly once she is older

    I LOOOOVE your videos! I've been wanting to camp, but I have no clue where to camp, and there aren't many other people that are as helpful as you in this. So, could you maybe include places where you ride in an upcoming video?

      @@madisoncamp388 no worries. Off the top of my head I would recommend Pt Reyes/Five Brooks, Jack Brooks & Joseph Grant to start. Mt Diablo will be nearest you - haven’t been myself yet. Henry Coe does a Backcountry weekend I hear is fun. Those are probably the top closest ones, but there are soooo many more beyond that. Get hooked up with the San Ramon Horsemens Association and see if they do campouts or you can find local folks who camp. I have a few campout videos forthcoming that I need to edit that will show more deets of a couple sites I’ve mentioned.

    I got a weird one: what type of horse you recommend for people with back problems? I have scoliosis so I could never do proper equestrianism, I could only do horse riding for fun. So I was wondering which one might be the best for my case: a light horse of a draft? Love your videos btw ❤🐎

      Tbh the folks i know with back issues love gaited horses. They can be incredibly smooth and easy on the body if you get one with proper training. Check out Gaye DeRusso with Majestic Rider - she has a YT channel and a website, I’ve ridden her horses and they are nice 👌🏼 she’s based near Sacramento. Not to say a draft couldn’t be a nice fit too…but again, I know several folks with back problems and they lovelovelove their gaited breeds. 💖

      i was very surprised at the largest one. the clydesdale and the shire. Felt smoother that all the borrowed horse ive tried. Im not a very experienced rider so keep that in mind. I never tried a 5 gaited horse so maybe thats even better(?)

    Amazing I always wanted to race with big horses! But sadly there is nothing out there that can do that

      @@HappieronaHorse might want to try jumping then, we have problems with shires jumping way too high (over fences and stall divider, over round bales... they are crazy good at it

I never do my nabor has a clystale and she rides him when im on quads and she leads alot because im too slow its funny a quad riding with a lady on horse back and honestly i have hard time keeping up with her and she is a big lady all of 200lbs

    Weird question but why don't horses sleep in the trailers at night when at camp your looks big enough?

    • @HappieronaHorse
      @HappieronaHorse  2 роки тому

      One reason is horses can get cast, where they lie down and get stuck and cant get up. I know people who hang a hammock in their trailers and sleep in there tho. 😜
