  • This video shows the condition of the narrowboat when it arrived at Bluewater Boats, the pitted steel, the paint job and a tour of the inside.
    We show how shot blasting and adding an epoxy paint system will protect this boat for another 10 years. Regular blacking is no longer required.
    If you’re interested having your boat shot blasted and re-painted with epoxy, please contact us today on +441926 811699 or visit our website at www.bluewaterboats.co.uk

    how many times do you overplate before you just start cutting plates off .
    Topside paint is great looking too.

      If the overplating is done correctly with shot
      Blasting and two pack epoxy blacking there shouldn’t be any need to overplate again

    How does the bottom of the boat get inspected and treated?

    • @bluewaterboatbuilder
      @bluewaterboatbuilder  5 місяців тому

      To inspect the base plate or the hull sides of a hull the boat needs to be craned onto either a slipway, dry dock or craned out. Depending on the condition of the steel as to how it is then treated.

    Would a boat made from cor-ten-steel be better
