Yes. Those projects are inportant, but it is also important to mention the first priority for everyone should be climate change, because that is why the food chain is disturbed and may get broken down completely someday. We all have the power to change the environment with our impact :)
@@solidagold115you absolutely don’t and can’t have the impact you believe. Climate change is something the earth does and has done since it first evolved, changing over and over, wiping out species and starting all over again, you can’t stop climate change, the world will continue to change over and over and no amount of money thrown at it will change that. This is my favorite mission so far. I remember when we heard the whale songs for the first time it was incredible. I really do believe that that recording inspired the Star Trek movie " The Voyage Home" where they go back in time to bring back two Humpback Whales to save Earth from being destroyed by an alien probe. I know different species of whales but the whole point of the movie was that we have to protect all animal life because the loss of one species of animal could bring on the destruction of all life on Earth including mankind. This is one of the reasons I am glad to contribute monthly to our missions. I just wish I had been there from the beginning.

When I was a kid, a record of humpback whale songs was in a box of cereal & I was captivated! I watched every Cousteau episode on TV & daydreamed about a career in marine biology. Unfortunately for a multitude of reasons that never happened, but at the age of 55 I did get to swim with 3 dolphins all by myself for 30 minutes in the Florida Keys & it was worth every single penny. ☺️ I live vicariously through YT videos like this & it brings me joy!
Amazing footage! It’s incredible to see how technology like drones can be used for conservation and study of these majestic creatures without disturbing their natural behavior. Great work Planet Wild!
5:12 Love how the wake of the boat looks like a whale tale. I also can’t believe how much whaling took place. It’s shocking to think about. Here’s to a strong and steady recovery for our cetacean, sapient neighbors. Planet Wild, I’ve seen you guys since the mission of the Little Owl. I can’t believe you’ve made it this far! Keep going!! 💪
I was a teenager in 1970. I belonged to the Sierra Club. That was one of the first groups of young people who wanted poaching and legal murder of animals, like the brutal deaths of baby seals to end! I remember all of this awareness of what was REALLY happening to animals on our planet! Of course there were other agencies created to stop Animals from Be cut me extinct period growing up in the 70s was an amazing time to be alive! My favorite band, Crosby, Stills and Nash had written a beautiful song titled "Wind in the Water". Their album came out around the same time the songs of the whales was released. Crosby, Stills in Nash donated every dime they made for that single to the groups that were saving whale's lives. Combined with the whale songs album, hundreds of thousands of dollars made to donate to keep These majestic animals from becoming extinct.
Truly inspiring to watch this innovative approach to studying blue whales! Using drones ensures the safety of both the researchers and these gentle giants. Fantastic video Planet Wild!
Our compassion and empathy for whales in the ocean is pretty much universal. I wish we could apply this very same compassion and empathy to our own species on the planet❤
I just randomly looked up blue whales on UA-cam cuz I wanted to learn about them but I’m so glad I stumbled upon this, thank you guys for looking out for the whales!💪🏼
Our ability to cause damage without any care for the consequences is always so depressing to me. People like y'all help me not completely loose hope. Actually doing real things that make a difference! So inspiring, thank you!

This is marvellous, I am very pleased it went so well for everyone. Thank you Planet Wild and others for planning and executing this difficult and delicate operation. Also huge thanks to the whale for helping with this research!
We spent a week with the gray whales in Laguna San Ignacio on Baja pacific. They’re just as smart as we are. They can do navigational math beyond anything humans can do. It was a transformative experience for the two of us. Most of the tourists flew in. We drove all the way down there from New Mexico. All whales need to be protected from humans.
Yes, these tiny tags stick on via suction cups, tracking these majestic creatures (typically for 24 hours) before floating to the surface for collection by researchers! The best part is, the whales don't even notice them💙🐋
I am sure that we know more about outer space than we do about our oceans. I also wonder why we are seeking intelligent life in space, instead of trying to communicate with the intelligent life already here on earth. I have had the privilege to see blue whales and am so happy to be helping us learn about them and thus help them, even if I am but a tiny part of the whole operation. I too, had tears in my eyes. ❤
Joe Hanson should be made part of the video tile. He has already been on a lot of shows and is a familiar face for his larger audience to come over to this video and organically grow the community.
I have watched nearly all your vids but blue whales are a particular love of mine. I always figured sponsorship was far more expensive than $6 a month to make such a difference!
I currently can't spend the money on a monthly subscription (I'm a broke college student dual majoring in Marine Biology and Bioinformatics), but I wanted to say thank you for everything you do. I've been watching this channel for a while now and all the projects are amazing and for such an amazing cause. I also wanted to comment to do what I can to help with the algorithm! Also, last thing, if you see this I was curious about how the cameras stay on the whale. It looks like a suction system, but I'm curious how that works as well as it does at the speeds blue whales can travel, as well as being underwater with the resistance that water has on an object?

Wait, imagine a boeing 737 doing a backflip under water? So the whales fall apart when they do that? Wild
What amazing and niche project ideas Planet Wild finds. Lovely video editing and brilliant work.
Thank you so much for the support and being a part of our mission! We're happy to have you as a part of our Planet Wild community 💙🐋
Joe Hanson should be made part of the video tile. He has already been on a lot of shows and is a familiar face for his larger audience to come over to this video and organically grow the community.
agreed!
Truly incredible, love the work you're doing and I will be watching very closely in the future!
We truly appreciate the love and support, thank you so much! 💙🙏
Wow! You guys are amazing! Unbelievable! Great job!!!! I love the awesome blue whale! And manta rays too. They’re beautiful and majestic!

Keep up the great work!
Thanks for rooting for us! 💙🐋
Great work!
Thanks for the support! 💙
You guys need to team up with Mossy Earth. Both are doing very similar project based initiatives
We love Mossy and are in contact. Maybe we‘ll make it happen some day 💙
Awesome project!
Thanks for the support! 💙
Nice video. Thanks for your work.
We truly appreciate the support, thanks so much! 💙
I have watched nearly all your vids but blue whales are a particular love of mine. I always figured sponsorship was far more expensive than $6 a month to make such a difference!
That was a really beautiful video to watch. Keep it up. Much love.
Glad to hear you enjoyed our mission, thank you! 💙🐋
Woah!! Didn't expect joe to be here! I love this mission, keep it up :))
We also had an incredible experience working with Joe! Glad to hear our mission connects with you, much appreciated 💙🐋
I thought ide clicked on a video about a blue whales perspective.

This is what you came for.
Isn't he from Be Smart
I love Joe Hason, I've been watching his content for years, can't believe you made a video with him. Absolutely love it!
Yeah, we are huge fans of his work, too. Loved working with him on this mission 🐋
It's okay to be a conservationist
😅
I see what you did there 🤓
@PalaeoJoe Couldn't agree more! 😍💙
Thanks guys!!!!!
Just thanks ❤
Thanks for the appreciation! 💙🐋
Great video like every time ❤
Such a great mission!
Your support is much appreciated, thank you! 💙
Got goosebumps when thie camera landed 😍
