I think a yarn ban is a good idea, but don't feel too ashamed by the amount of yarn you've collected! It's pretty easy to get swept up in wanting to try different yarns, or stocking up when an expensive yarn goes on a good sale. Having a plan for what you want to do with your yarn will help you keep on track, and you'll work through so much of your stash in no time.
I was in a very similar predicament with WAK's the wool yarn. I actually spun some up in the end and made project with it that I'm much more happy with. Since I was a beginner I'm just not using this super chunky yarn anymore. But since 'the wool' is an unspun yarn, it's definitely possible to spin it into something thinner :) I really enjoyed the spinning of it as well.
im not finished yet but had to say im lurrrrving the new structure of these vlogs!! theyre so fun and i feel like your personality really comes through more with this style of video 🥰
i’m so excited you got into weaving!!!! i just started knitting a could months ago and started watching you; i recently tried out weaving and fell in love but i can’t find like any people who weave on youtube. i think we have the exact same loom too i also have an ashford rigid heddle. mine is 24”. i have a smaller dent heddle on the way since i like to weave with finer stuff :). i also got a pick up stick to try out some more complex stuff. can’t wait to watch your journey
Have fun with your rigid heddle :~) it was my first kind of loom ~ I think direct warping is way easier than indirect warping! I am sure you're gonna love doing textural weavings on it
I also cataloged my yarns recently and I feel like it has helped me so so much with seeing what I actually have and coming up with cool things to make with it, I made it in an excel sheet tho so I can delete them easier when they're hopefully used up haha
Also that grey tennen is so pretty. I want to unravel a sweater I made with tennen and free up those 4 skeins again, but I have no idea what I’d want to make with it instead. That’ll be one of my goals for this year - figuring out a project for it and knitting it up!
I also wanted a single stitch v-neck decrease when I was mod-ing my Amy Slipover so I scoured the internet for a ref. Found a free pattern/chart by zNooi that was really helpful! It's her Cotton Candy Vest.

Loving the yarn ban vibes. I'm trying to hold off on buying yarn till Fibers West. Are you going? Can't wait to see what you weave on your loom :)
Oh I didn’t even think about it! I have too much fibre haha
Loving this video! 😊
I am.organizing my stash too. I have more fabric than yarn though but it's insane trying to get it all.together.
Daisy peels a ton, even more than Lima. Hold it with a mohair. I should have done it with my Eva cardigan.

Omg yaaaaaas I feel like a stockinette would show the colours so well 😏

You could sell or give away some of yarn, especially the ones you are not super excited about
❤
Sorry girl, but that is definitely NOT how you pronounce hør😭But hore organic is honestly a better name!
LOL IK I’ve been practicing but it still feels wrong
I really enjoyed this video!! very chill
