Ok ... I sat down and photographed and weight all my yarn and uploaded it in my ravelry stash ..... and I'm telling you...... first of all touching the yarn and remembering all these projects I had in mind for those gave me a lot of my knit mojo back ...... also whenever I want to knit something or see a pattern or anything instead of searching yarn sites or instagram I just search my own stash. It is giving me the same comfort and it is my own yarn I have in my drawers. It's a win-win situation for my bank account and my brain. These eyelashes look so cute on you 😍.
The cheap little phentex balls is the no.1 yarn to make slippers. Very durable but very rough to knit. In Quebec, pretty much every household have them!
one thing I really admire about you and your knitting is that you seem to so easily strand things together!! like, for some of your garments you triple or even quadruple strand a bunch of different yarns and I would just never think to do that on my own, so it’s really really cool to see :)
i could listen to you talk about your yarn and knitting plans for hoursssss! there is something magically motivating to it and you specifically that helps me get out of a knitting rut better than anything else i've come across.., so thank you!
For some of those hanks ( I think they were fingering weight) you could make socks or even beanies. I'm primarily a sock knitter (very obvs from the updated barbara sock I've been working on) but I can definitely see some socks with those hanks. Accessories for the hanks too would be a good idea, the bindle bag by Ozetta could be a contender. Also! The faux yarn from loop and thread is the one I used for the Harry the Puppy for my niece! I actually almost gave up on it because the yarn was so bulky that it was difficult to cast off the stitches that I needed to.
For your handspun, a colourwork cowl (Velvet Mirror?) would be gorgeous. Merino singles are great for colourwork yokes and shawls since they plump up really nice, but they don't have a lot of integrity with being only single ply. Also avoid places with a lot of friction because it'll pill like stink.
I'm so sorry if this comes off as rude but when you were reviewing the loops and threads yarn it was giving upper middle class girl in a movie who goes to the lower class parties to see her forbidden lover only to find out that the parties there are great and I found it fun and I hope you enjoy the yarn; especially since acrylic yarn is usually a lot cheaper than natural blends so your wallet will probably thank you
Ok, perfect project for one of those gorgeous single skeins - the Oceanborn headband! It's cabled fun to knit, and you can even knit it in the round and just fill in the back side with garter stitch. I've made two already lol
just a warning: i haven’t tried that exact brand but i did use a rayon bamboo yarn and crocheted a bralette and not sure how but it grew like crazy after a wash and i can’t wear it anymore so be warned! that yarn takes some experimentation. it’s so soft tho
Yeah! Definitely aim for something flowy and with positive ease with rayon. I made a cropped tee out of the Lion Brand version of this yarn and I love it

omg I love the ones you span yourself so much!
I loved this style of video!! ❤🥰
It's crazy how you remember the story of each and every one of these yarns. 😮
im like this for every purchase I've ever made, idk why
Loops & Threads is Michael's brand of yarn :)
daaaaamn, well they got me
lol. And they did rebrand last year, made a lot of older lines look more enticing as well as adding fun new options
I end up getting acrylic more lately so I can wash it. I love the handmades but so far have been only buying sock amounts.
i say you should weave with your more special yarns! i find you can capture the eauty of some of them more in woven form
AW that's actually so true, I think im gonna with some handspun
