I think it is very important to point out to the gen public how this guy, despite however crazy his jumps, he is at least doing it a great deal safer than 95% of the cliff jump videos I've seen on UA-cam. I can't stress the importance of having "spotters" in the water who are in close proximity to where the jumper lands. Reason being, for those who may not know, if a jumper lands in such a way, from such a height, not only could they become knocked out, but have "their wind knocked out". That "wind" the expression is referring is actually the air in the lungs. That air is actually the only thing that causes the body to be buoyant. Without that air in the lungs or the person to be conscious to swim to the surface, the jumper will sink to the bottom as fast as a rock. When no one is close enough to grab them before that happens, the jumper could be lost forever. A tragedy that can be avoided, but happens every summer in places like lake Powell. A dead lake with depths in parts of over 220ft. Often resulting of never even recovering the body. I hate to sound "preechy", and I applaud the talent and courage on this channel, but I think it would be irresponsible to not educate the UA-cam viewer who may not know and see your videos as well as all the other ones and try it themselves without any efforts to minimize the potential dangers. If this knowledge saves even one life, then I have not wasted my time writing it and you have not wasted your time reading it. Pass it on, because something that seems like common knowledge, isn't. If you don't believe that then why are there no "spotters" in the majority of the cliff jump videos on UA-cam?
Spuntechnics I didn't know that about the landing having the potential of knocking the wind out of a jumper! That is some detrimental-ass information to know, as I do enjoy some cliff diving on occasion from time to time. Thanks!!!!
What's the bit with throwing a stone/stones just before jumping? Is that working out where the landing spot is or something to do with timing, or even surface tension breaking (seems insufficient for that)?
The level of respect that I have for you, your drive, your passion, your straight up balls (regardless the condition) is remarkable. Keep doing what you do man.
It used to be hard to find good cliff jumping videos on UA-cam, but recently it's been easy and amazing. You're such a huge contributing factor to the community and I want to thank you for that Chase.
I've rewatched this video several times. From the craziness of what you do to the music you choose for the background, it's truly breathtaking. Your videos are so unique and can't wait to see what the future holds.
I could care less about a lot of other stuff that last cliff drop has me absolutely mind blown. I’m so glad you did that jump and came out all right! Thank you for hucking that INSANE BACKFLIP. You are one of the biggest legends there is. Be safe and enjoy life :)
You deserve 1,000,000 subscribers more than anyone on youtube. You can tell how much you put into this channel and how much it means to you, it definitely shows. Keep it up man you deserve 1m.
Adrenaline Addiction man you should take up paramotoring to get to your destination. You could scout the area and then land nearby, and then take off when you're done. Would make for some awesome footage as well!
What kills most people in daring ventures, is that they over-estimate their abilities OR do not research the possibility of disaster and plan for it if needed. That's why it's never smart to attempt many things alone, if you get into trouble, and you are alone, it's often bye bye life! (Of course it goes without saying that a smart person will make every SAFETY effort to see that he/she survives whatever they are attempting!) That means making sure YOU and your equipment are top notch and won't fail you at the worst times! AND REMEMBER, over 45% of young people engaging in dare-devil activities, DIE! (Doing "what they love" of course, since that is always what they say after you're dead!)
Friends and I used to cliff jump at quarries in Tennessee. One quarry in particular had a 15, 30, 60, 100 and 225 foot drops. I did all but the 100 and 225. I only saw one person do the 225, his name was Jason Trout and he died 3 days later due to internal injuries. True story.
@@luciusandrellius9817 Sorry friend, this was in the early 90's before everyone had a camera surgically attached to their bodies. I did try looking up any records of it just to see, but found nothing. I still remember it like it was yesterday though. There were about a dozen people screaming "do it!" And after about a half hour of hesitation, he jumped. He tried to go in feet first, but during the free fall his body sort of leveled out, nearly doing a back flop from over two hundred feet. Sounded like an explosion. A friend and myself jumped in from across the quarry and swam to him. One of his friends was already in the water and was trying to pull him to the shore. His body was bright red and he was concious, but struggling to breath. We were remote enough that it took about 20 minutes for someone to walk to a nearby home to use their phone. About a half an hour later, a life flight helicopter arrived. I read in the paper his name and that he passed from his internal injuries. Poor guy, peer pressure got the best of him
The thing with cliff jumping is just experience. Never send a 5 metre if you haven't done 3 metres. Always master the smaller heights first. Cliff Jumping is all about baby steps which is why people often get hurt because they underestimate the height
When I found his channel, he had around 40k, and at that time I had thought, ''how does this guy NOT have millions of subs!?'' puts out A+ content and amazing filming. no doubt, he will be a huge youtube channel in the near future as long as he keeps up the videos!
Im so fuckin addictid to your channel bro, ur content is just amazing, the vlogs the jumps every single part. keep going like this mate and you will be big ;)
every single time, i watched it again and again, and i just don't get it how chase is in one piece after the arizona jump. The commitment for this backflip just doesn't make sense. In the middle of nowhere, without safety divers, this dude just backflips into the water, staying in the air for so long. HUGE respect.
Did 110' on my 25th birthday. No flips though, just straight drop. Unbelievable impact and I'd probably never do it again. Props to you for the flips, you've got skills AND balls!!!
Keep it up Chase. You really have changed people's lives, and mine is one of them. I've never been as happy as I am now looking forward to every day and week, living every day like there is no tomorrow. Cya @ 1 million!
ABSOLUTELY! We see them in the ER all the time, funny thing about that though, their "balls" usually shrink with pain! Jumping off a high place into water holds tons of dangers, but what we often see, is ruptured spleens (in which case they bleed to death internally unless we can repair them and replace their blood immediately, head injuries, punctured lungs and bruised hearts from fractured ribs, broken backs and necks, limbs, eye-ball injuries where they can lose one or both eyes, plus many other injuries. The human body is pretty fragile when you think about it! Thin skin, not a lot of protection to body parts, especially if you place yourself in the situation where the body can't stand up to injury, bad injury! Too often fatal. That can ruin OUR day too, as we HATE having to go out to the waiting room and tell family that they "didn't make it" meaning they either are already dead or died while we were busting our backs to try to save them! Very sad for all.
Dude, I jumped from like 20 ft one time and couldn’t walk right for 3 days. It was terrifying to look down from only that height.....You are seriously amazing. Balls of unobtanium!

When you jump that cliff and oral history of the tribe says no one has ever jumped that side and lived, it's immortal. As far as we know he's the first human on the planet to have done it. That's cool dude. The jump itself? Balls big enough to come in a dump truck. Stay safe this summer bro. I'm looking forward to your content.
On top of all the crazy jumps, it's cool to see Chase so excited over 100,000 subs at the end of this vid. As I type this, he's sitting at 950,000 and sure to hit 1 mil in a matter of time. Major props, Chase, and thanks for all the great content!

Very impressive jump / dive. Just a suggestion - use a athletic supporter with a cup (padded). It will lesson the impact on your family jewels. It is VERY easy to trauma them, possibly rupture anything within the groin area. Thanks - James, BRC / Texas EMT Medic

My cousin went to college at Ithaca and I've heard stories of some gnarly cliff jumps out that way. Many places are now fenced off due to people getting injured or dying.
Well done. Seeing it in 2024 😅
You have some of the best content and I love your videos on UA-cam. I really think you should start doing vlogs or just try it out.

Very impressive jump / dive.
Just a suggestion - use a athletic supporter with a cup (padded). It will lesson the impact on your family jewels. It is VERY easy to trauma them, possibly rupture anything within the groin area. Thanks - James, BRC / Texas EMT Medic
