What a well balanced, unbiased speculative look at history. Lucifer and the other Angels are said to have left heaven for Love. I have spent decades pondering this very perspective. We are commanded to be diligent and not allow ourselves to be deceived, so it is our duty to consider all possibilities. We are told that a great deceiver will attempt to fool the world. Therefore diligent research and questioning of everything presented is essential to do our duty. I for one do not think the description of heaven where we get new forms or bodies that we have no choice in, and no free will, sounds so great. Mindlessly thanking a deity for all eternity does not sound great to me. Spending eternity (or life) being Grateful for all of the wonderful gifts we have been blessed with in life is a great thing. Eternal praise in heaven isn't forced because everyone there asked for it. But it seems to me many make the choice because they are deceived about heaven. We are told that the only alternative to mindless eternal worship is eternal banishment and we are told eternal torture is said to be the fate for many if not all who choose not to want to go the mindless praise route. Believe whatever you want to believe in your own life. For Gratitude to truly mean anything it must be genuine. We must experience the wonderful gifts we have been given in order to be Grateful for them. So we have a duty to explore our gifts, realize them and once we truly understand these gifts and see them for what they are, we can express true Gratitude that is genuine. I feel like there must be a 3rd option. One place for bad people, one place for the mindless praisers, and another place for the people who want to express their Gratitude in genuine ways. People who want to Love, and care about all living things, in a world free of all those other types in the other two places. I don't feel I should be eternally tortured because I want to express my Love and Gratitude in a genuine way without doing it in a mindless obligated manner. I do not know the answers, I can only search and speculate and then follow my heart. I encourage others to do the same.
