I hope the person who's bathroom this is knows that most trauma can take a minimum of 2 years to overcome mentally. I hope they get treatment for the alcohol because many people think they can do it on their own, but at a certain level, it's impossible. You HAVE to be detoxed medically! Also, please search nutritional deficiencies after alcohol use. You absolutely have to supplement! Bless you for taking the first step! ❤

No you don't need medical detoxing. Who told you that? I've been sober for 35 years this June.
Yeah, I went to crap ton of meetings in the first few years. I worked the steps, I got transpersonal counseling, including EMDR, but I never had medical detox.
Do some people need that? Absolutely. I know what the DTs are. I know what depression so bad that I stuck a shotgun in my mouth feels like.
I don't disagree with you on the nutrition aspect, though I will say that most supplements are crap. Food is medicine. I will say this: if I'd have known I was gonna live this long (67+ years), I might have taken better care of myself.
@tetedur377 did you have DT? a stroke? a seizure? a heart attack? Many have... AT. A. CERTAIN. LEVEL. I advise caution to save lives rather than put them at risk.

Alcohol doesn't help at all. Yes, it numbs a little, but never enough to forget the pain. And it also numbs the strength to not give up. It just adds more problems and can cause severe depression on top. I hope that guy gets the help he needs.
Absolutely. There is no problem that alcohol can't make worse.

I will add my gratitude to the gentleman's for whom you cleaned that bathroom. It makes my heart sad to see these images of how people live, although it can't really be living. It's only existing and trying to make it through another day. I struggle with depression too and some days I simply can't find the energy to do much. But thankfully I do manage to keep my home in a good condition because I have found it helps my emotional state. I am so glad this gentleman reached out for help and you and your partner answered that plea. What a beautiful difference you made for him. Barbie: That was amazing. I think you are probably the world's best cleaner. That mold is the direct result of no ventilation. It's going to grow back. It doesn't appear to have a window but it should have an exhaust fan. The fan should be checked to make sure it's working properly. I don't know how you were able to actually clean it but what you did was amazing.

Sometimes, I have to look away from what you're doing because it is so sickening. Having said that, I absolutely love you for using the products you use! So many channels refuse to use bleach, but there is no substitute! Excellent work as always! ❤

Agree. Most cleaning products wont kill germs or bacteria like bleach does. The only cleaning products you really need are bleach & diluted vinegar. Saves you money too.

Some days I get feeling pretty down and first thing that happens is I don’t think the bathroom needs cleaning today, then, I think I can go a day without brushing my teeth (back pain makes lifting my arms quite painful some days). Watching you save all these folks makes me see I could be there in no time. And then I go clean the toilet 😅

Part of me wants to just get mad at people for trashing their homes, etc., but another part wants to be compassionate. Knowing that trauma causes people to behave in ways such as this doesn't really explain it to me, but I do know that that bathroom is just a symptom. Sometimes people just won't let anyone help them. 🫂But this man asked for help. Good. 🫂You can't get help if no-one knows you need help. He didn't just hide it. And he has expressed gratitude. That is so encouraging. We had a family member who didn't want help, and he drank himself to death in a beautiful new home, full of beautiful furniture with tasteful decor, surrounded by hundreds of bottles of urine, lying in a soiled bed, with a kitchen full of unpacked groceries rotting, and a hotline to an alcohol delivery service... But this guy asked for help! His problems aren't over, but he is on his way. If you are reading this, then God bless you sir, don't give up. I admit your bathroom was pretty scary, but what scares me far more is recalling where living like that can lead. You have chosen a different path from Mike. Don't give up.

Hopefully he is able to get help in the other area's of his life that led to this happening.
But I do believe it is rather obvious, that this was not just a few months of depression that caused the build up of that much trash and dirt on the surfaces. That was years.

@@cleanwithbarbie I moved into a new flat that needed deep cleaning, with all the paint coming off the walls and floors that were 'in your world'(!). I didn't see myself scrubbing on my knees or balancing on a chair to get to the ceiling, so I bought a spin scrubber on Amazon. Mine has a powerful motor and a handle so I can reach everywhere.
When it arrived I thought I would give it a test, but I kept going and the kitchen was made habitable within an hour! The spider webs holding the paint to the walls and mystery grease were banished.
I then needed to recharge batteries. The next day I used sugar soap with it to prepare the walls for paint in the living room. However, once cleaned, from floor to ceiling, I decided that it did not need painting after all!
The gadget provided me with motivation, and now, with clean everything, I am quite house proud. Clearly you do not need motivation, but I used to do housekeeping in hotels too, so I am not totally unaware of doing cleaning for others. I found I got a better bathroom than I did in my housekeeping days, when standards had to be very high. Things like cleaning the overflow hole in the sink were areas where I went above and beyond, thanks to the gadget.
For home use it also provides some time management. I know I only have an hour or two without having to recharge it, so I can set myself a task and know that I will have my time back to myself after an hour or so.
I love your channel, but I always think what I could do in the time! I have not done my outside windows yet, and, I chose to watch you clean someone else's place rather than clean my own place. It has gone dark now, so that is a job for my future self.
If I had you cleaning my place I would feel obligated to help, carrying the rubbish away, making sure you had cups of tea and so on. I wonder if you tell your customers to get out of the way or if they ever get inspired by your energy to lift a feather duster and at least help a little.
Keep up the good work, and, if I am not liking every video, it is because I am cleaning my own space and not watching YT (or writing lengthy comments)!
