Piece of craftsmanship. Beautiful.
Stunning Fountain Pen!
The Urushi Vermillion is my number one grail pen. There is nothing particularly unusual about it, but it exudes class and craftsmanship.
That is a really beautiful pen there, Chinkin is such a beautiful art form, the tolerances for it are so incredibly tough with no room for error, I have that on my list of pens to acquire next... of course the design has to be right for me as well, so far nothing that I "have" to have, but soo many close contenders. In many ways the art form reminds me of brass rubbings in the UK, something I really enjoyed doing as a kid, with some obvious differences, anyways thank you for showing this to us.
Thank you for the video. I love these Japanese decorations. Chinkin is particularly difficult and requires a lot of skill and patience. I own a Namiki Yukari Chinkin Matsu and it is a very special pen to me.
I totally agree! Not an easy pen to do with Chinkin, having to scrape away at the pen and then inlay gold leaf before urushi lacquering.
Beautiful nib and a work of art. Personally, I am not a fan of pens bearing symbols but if you decide to give it away; I will accept it anyway. Great review
How much is the price?
I couldn't tell you they range quite a lot in price, you'd have to find a retailer that sells one.
